Okay, so. Nerves, probably a panic attack, toxic relationships, mild threats, and mild bodily harm. However, I suggest you at least read the first part if you were going to skip the chapter because of this. Because it's fun and there's a very brilliant character in it. I imagine he likes roses.

Fire took a bite out of his meal. It was amazing, and it was called Mac-and-cheese or something. It had cheese mixed with a bunch of pasta, and it was scalding hot. Anyone else would probably have had the roof of their mouth burned off. Not him! Because, you know, he was literally Fire. Someone in the market had supposedly come up with this dish a little while back, and he was just getting around to trying it. Worth the wait though.

Fire leaned back against the bench, looking out across the marketplace. He'd come here to think. Namely about what he was going to do about Mind. The Sun had never had a crush on anyone before. There was a part of him that doubted he actually liked the Shadow. Fire wouldn't mind not liking Mind. It would make everything a lot less complicated. Only, there was only a part of Fire that doubted he liked Mind. The rest was busy making his heart beat faster than should be possible every time the Sun thought about the Shadow for only a moment.

Somehow realizing that Fire liked Mind had made him like the Shadow even more. Was that normal?

Moreover, how was Fire going to tell Mind about his crush. Could he even tell him? Would it be a good idea? Well, Fire thought to himself, it's better than Mind hearing about it from my thoughts. That would make for an even more awkward conversation.

"Hello good friend! May I sit here?" Someone asked. The question was so out of the blue and unexpected that Fire pitched forward a bit. He coughed, choking on the mac and cheese he'd been eating.

"Oh dear! Are you okay?" The person asked a bit. Fire coughed again, stronger this time, and managed to dislodge the chunk of food from the back of his throat. He coughed once more, making sure that everything was gone. Only once that miniature crisis was over did Fire turn to look at the person who had spoken.

They stood just a little bit taller than Fire himself, if you ignored his horns. Their eyes were white and had teal eyeshadow around them. Their skin was as black as the night sky just before sunrise. Sky blue lines decorated their body and they had on a white leather jacket and pants, creating a very coordinated outfit. Two golden triangles served as buttons on the top of the jacket, while their pants remained undecorated. They had on a black shirt with a golden strip down the center and a dark blue cloak that spilled off of their shoulders, that was tied with a red chain. Their hair was cool, it was made up of glowing musical notes.

"Yup," Fire groaned, "I'm fine. I think."

"Well that's great!" The person exclaimed, lifting their index finger up with cheer. They grinned with a lot of enthusiasm and continued speaking. "I'm Song! You're Fire right?" Song double checked.

Fire nodded. He gasped a bit, surprised as Song sat down next to him, like they were old friends. He turned to face the guy, about to ask him to leave. After all, Fire was here to think in peace, somewhere Water wouldn't find him. That was the only reason he wasn't in his room right now. The market was the last place Fire's friend would ever expect him to be. After all, the central gathering place of the Suns wasn't exactly a prime spot for maybe the most introverted of all of the forces.

"So, Fire, what are you doing here?" Song asked.

Fire blinked, still not sure what to do. He paused for a long moment while trying to figure out what he was going to say. He wasn't too used to talking to new people. Really, the only Suns he ever really talked with were Light, and the other Nexus forces. Even then, he mostly spoke with only Water. Maybe part of it was that he hid away from all civilization. But, the few times he was around people, no one ever came up to him. He wasn't sure why that was. If Fire didn't know better, he'd say the other Suns were borderline scared of him. Or at least intimidated.
