Mentions of low mental health and effects of negative romantic relationships. Also a bit of mentioning the assumed differences between the Suns and Shadows, assuming they aren't friends and saying they can't be. As well as just mentioning assumed things about the two groups.

Fire climbed the steps. They were quite steep, to the point where he had had to use his wings to steady himself multiple times. Honestly, he wouldn't want to be climbing up the narrow shaft if he didn't have the back-up of flying. How did Water handle these things anytime he wanted to go anywhere? It was difficult!

Fire looked up. He was about to crest the top of the stairs, and he didn't want to do that awkward thing when you take another step up but there was none. He really hated doing that. It would appear, however, that looking up this time had been a bit of a mistake.

"Gah!" Fire cried, turning away and blocking his view with his hands. He'd caught a glimpse of a kiss between Art and Water. Which was great and definitely, definitely, not embarrassing at all. Ugh. At least that hadn't been full on going at it, just a slight peck of their lips together. Still. Ugh.

"Oh! Fire, um," Water said, stumbling over the words. He also appeared to be laughing from embarrassment.  "You, uh, you can open your eyes."

Fire hesitated for a second before he cautiously lowered his hands and peaked open his eyes. Water and Art were no longer making out, just standing next to each other. "Hello, Fire," Art said. For some reason, they didn't seem quite as embarrassed as Fire and Water both were.

Fire nodded hello back. It had been a little since he'd seen Art. They were humanoid with longer hair, an ever changing swirl of colors, than before. Instead of drifting down to just below their chin, Art's hair went below their ribs. They still had long fingers that could trace colors into anything and specks of paint ran along their skin. Surprisingly, instead of all the colors giving off a chaotic aura, Art seemed calm and collected. Which was true to their actual personality.

"Hey Art," Fire began, "I see you and Water are still going strong."

Art nodded in acknowledgement and clasped their hand in Water's, who grinned in turn. Fire felt the corner of his mouth turn a bit down as he watched the lovebirds. They had a language between the two of them. It was evident throughout all their motions. Simple twitches of a hand or the tilt of a head became questions and answers for them. Something Fire didn't get I wonder if Mind would be able to understand all this? He found himself wondering. For some reason, he felt an odd heat in his cheeks. Actually, that had been happening a lot whenever he thought of Mind. What was up with that?

"I can see you probably have some business with Water," Art stated, they paused for a moment and smiled, trying to make it clear they didn't want to get in anyone else's way. "Don't worry, I was just leaving." They turned to Water. Fire averted his eyes as Art pecked their boyfriend on the cheek. Thankfully, that wasn't a whole make-out session either, and Art was squeezing past Fire on the narrow stairway without much delay.

Fire looked up to see Water watching Art go with a melancholy expression. Fire smiled a little, "You really love them, don't you?" He asked.

Water's green skin turned a dark reddish-green as his cheeks flushed with blood. He glared daggers at Fire. "Way to interrupt us," He growled the words with a bite. Fire shook his head with an affectionate grin. Water was always going to be this way, wasn't he?

"Anyway," Water said, brushing off Fire's declaration, "What did you want?" He asked his friend as brusquely as possible.
