Implied threats, manipulation, fear, toxic relationships.

"You what?" Cold hissed, her voice very, very dangerous. It felt like it was full of sharpened knives, ready to slice apart Mind's flesh, ready to tear him apart. She also looked ready to actually tear him apart, with both the look in her eyes and the way her fists were clenched.

Mind flinched at his girlfriend's words, taking an unconscious step back in fear. Internally, he cursed himself. He just let everyone know how scared he was. Including Cold. What was she going to do? Probably take advantage of that. Scare him into helping her.

"What did you say, Mind?" Cold asked again, her voice still deadly cold.

Mind swallowed. "I said that I didn't agree with what you said about Blood," He said. His voice was a little quiet and tentative. He was trying hard to keep the tremor out of his voice. Not taking it back though. Never taking it back. He looked up at Cold, who still seemed furious. For some strange reason, that made him happy. Not because he was happy that he'd made someone mad. It was more like he knew that he had done a lot of stuff that wasn't in his best interest to keep Cold from getting mad. So now that Mind's girlfriend was mad at him, it was like he'd stopped shooting himself in the foot. Like he was being told he was doing what's best for him.

Cold looked like she really, really, wanted to say something. Wanted to shout back a retort at her boyfriend. Only, the fact that she was still silent and her jaw still clenched, made it clear that she didn't know what to say.

"I think you should probably leave," Blood announced from inside Mind's room.

Cold whirled around, a hiss escaping from her mouth. Mind winced, thinking of the look she would be giving Blood right now. Not a pretty one by any means.

Blood didn't flinch. He just stared Cold down, their black eyes locked on each other, a staring contest to end all staring contests. He had to admit, Cold was not a pretty sight right now. You could tell she had gone from her standard calm evil, to mildly unhinged in just a minute. Her wings were flared out all the way, and her fists were clenched so hard you could see the tendons in her arms. Not to mention the way her hair had come undone when she whirled around.

"To be frank," Blood continued, keeping his voice tauntingly pleasant, "You're kind of outnumbered, even if you don't count Mind. Besides, no one wants you here."

Blood could see Cold fuming, both in her eyes and every other bit of body language she had. Oh, I'm going to be in cold water after this, aren't I, Blood thought to himself. Probably also Form and Mind as well. Then again, Form had been smart and stayed silent throughout this whole confrontation, so maybe Blood's boyfriend would be okay. Mind, however, would have to find a way to avoid Cold's wrath.

"Why?" Cold growled after a very, very, long moment. Blood wished he could have known what was going on in her mind right then. Her thoughts were probably a lot less ordered than normal. Like a lot less ordered. That was assuming Cold's thoughts were ordered for the most part. Blood wasn't Mind, he didn't know what her thoughts were normally like.

For a long moment, Blood stared at Cold. He didn't need to answer that question, she knew why. She was smart. Cold hadn't moved, or gone to leave at all, she was trying to wear him down. Well, two could play that game. Blood didn't move, or flinch at all. He just stood there, staring Cold in her black eyes. He knew that he couldn't back down. Behind Cold, Blood could hear someone breathing heavily. That would probably be Mind, trying to figure out what he would do if Cold didn't leave.
