What makes something right?
Is it you? Do you decide what's right and what's wrong? Is it someone else, sitting somewhere and writing. Deciding that things should stay the same? Or deciding that things should change. Is it everyone? Is that who makes something right? If the majority of people agree on something, does that make it good?
But how large should that sample size be? Everyone, even little children? The oldest and the wisest? The people right in the middle, best of both worlds? There's nothing that everyone agrees on. Lying is bad? But lying to protect someone is good?
Are there things that are always good? Like the will to survive? Does survival mean everything? Then why do some people choose to die to let those they care about live and thrive? But then why do some people decide to survive, even at the cost of those they might care about.
Could you even begin to define what makes something right to you? Or do you just go with what's in your gut at that moment? Are there things you think that you would never do? What if you had to do so to survive? What if you had to do so to protect a loved one? What would you think of yourself? What would other people think of you?
Have you done something before, something you thought was wrong? Because you wanted to? Did you have fun? Have you done something most people think is wrong because you think it's right? You want to believe that you're in the right, right? Did you feel guilty? Did others look down on you? Did you look down on them for that?
Have you done something you didn't want to do because you thought it was right? Because other people said it was right? Have you ever snapped under that pressure because it was just too much? Do you wish you hadn't? Do you feel like you're obeying something without ever really thinking why? Or do you think that that's the right thing to do?
Is it even possible to do the right thing? Is it even possible to do the wrong thing? And what happens if you do? At the end of your life, what happens? What happens to everything you love, everything you know? What happens with everything you don't know, when you die? Everything you think is right, everything you think is wrong? What even are these things?
What are love and death?
Fire didn't know.
Mind didn't know.
Cold didn't know.
But they were going to fight anyway.
