A week.

It had been a week since Haechan had last seen Dahyun and all of his energy had already been drained. Although they texted each other almost daily now, Haechan had to be very careful not to use the new cell phone all the time.

Oh, right. Between Jeno and Chenle, they had figured out, and by they, it obviously referred to the workers at their families' business, how to make a phone signal not be detected by the controls that his mother had ordered to put around the Lee house. Thanks to this device, Haechan had certain times when the control signal was lower in which he could exchange some messages with whoever he wanted.

He was deeply grateful to them for the effort, however, that didn't change the fact that he was still prohibited to leave his house. After the last time, the guards informed Mrs. Lee of the strange scene and how they lost track of Haechan for about twenty minutes, which caused Mrs. Lee to lose trust even in Yuna.

He had no escape now.

At that moment, Haechan was laying on his bed, emotionless, staring at the ceiling, when the sound of the door opening made him come back to reality.

"I already told you to leave me alone. I'm not going to eat," he growled, without looking at the person standing at the door.

Why would he bother? It was always the same.

"Well, that's not the welcoming I was expecting," a female voice said.

After hearing those words, more specifically to that voice, Haechan quickly sat on the bed, fixing his surprised eyes on that person.

"And that's not the way you talk to your sister, little jerk."

"Noona!" He exclaimed to run and embrace his older sister. Dohee smiled at his brother's excitement and hugged him back.

"Well, I guess I'm invisible," Doyoung said with a playful tone, appearing behind his wife.

"Hyung!" Both guys hugged each other tightly. A smile appeared on Haechan's face. A sincere smile after a long time. "When? How? Why?" Haechan babbled with excitement. No one could blame him, he hadn't seen his sister in person for quite a long time now.

Although she lived in the same city, ever since Doyoung had taken over as CEO of his family's company, their responsibilities increased in such a way that it was almost impossible for the Lee siblings to see each other frequently.

"What? I can't come to see my little brother?" Dohee asked, pretending to be offended. "Also, the holiday season is around the corner!"

"I know, sorry. But you never have time..." he muttered in a low tone, but still, Dohee could hear him.

"Hey, long hair suits you pretty well," Doyoung tried to change the topic. In fact, Haechan's hair had grown out in such a way that it looked like a small mullet.

"Also, you look so skinny, how much weight have you lost?" Dohee said, examining her brother

Dohee watched as her brother ducked his head, which made her heart clench. He looked so vulnerable and sad, it was unusual to see him like that.

"I think you need some time alone," Doyoung whispered to his wife. "I'm going to prepare something special for you, gomdol-i. And you can't reject my food," he said with a smile, patting the boy's head, and causing Haechan to smile too.

Doyoung many times had pointed out how Haechan resembled a small bear, which made him earn that nickname from him. Little Doyoung knew that Haechan's father was the first one to point out that resemblance.
