Each datapad starts up the same. It required one to put their name in before starting to make sure each individual got the information they needed. Adding their number as well for safekeeping to help direct them to what they needed to know. Ahsoka smiled at the looks around the room when Havok smiled to himself having learned who saved him before he passed on and how he came back to life. Omega smiled at hers as she read:
Dearest Omega,
You're probably wondering what happened to your brother when I accompanied ‘Shaak Ti’ up to where your other brother’s had gone up in the lift. I never like any of my brother’s being treated harshly and neither did my friend the Jedi. Let me tell you the story of how the Jedi saved CT-9904.
I had been with Hunter, Tech and Wrecker with ‘Shaak Ti’ when they asked about CT-9904. At first we were confused as their report claimed the three were the only surviving clones of experimental clone force 99. ‘Shaak Ti’ left to look into it while I showed your brothers around the facility. They spoke very highly of you and I had to tell them no one would hurt my sister while I was around. Anyway back to the story. ‘Shaak Ti’ came barging into the room when I had just put your brothers to sleep and ushered me to follow her. With quick haste the two of us came across Nala Se’s private lab. Hearing a discussion involving CT-9904 about his uses to the future and whether to Terminate or not. Had the two of us moving ever so quickly.
‘Shaak Ti’ stormed into the room demanding Nala Se would have a word with her, let’s just say the medical personnel knew how to leave. During this time, I had found CT-9904 who sadly didn’t look so well. He was too skinny and looked very ill. I didn’t know whether he would make it, but with quick thinking I placed an oxygen mask on his face and within a matter of minutes he was breathing better and looking a little better.
When I picked him up and met ‘Shaak Ti’, we came across you. With your head down and after we left you. ‘Shaak Ti’ mentioned something to me about your brother that will haunt me forever. I only hope he survives this critical stage in his life. She told me, “CT-9904 known as Crosshair will provide a light that will destroy the darkness forever but it may destroy him later in life. Omega will be part of something that only Crosshair will know how to help. Together they will go through tragedy, love, birth and death”.
Omega I am sorry that something so big has been left on your shoulders. Crosshair will come across a prophecy one day and it involves the two of you. Please be careful. I do not know what will happen to you, if you don’t accept the prophecy but you must know I will try my best to help you anyway I can. I have given Crosshair a special necklace that he can’t take off. There is a reason for it, make sure he never does us if you go through with the prophecy. Once it is over the necklace will come off itself.
Omega I love you little sister, shine brighter than any of your brothers. I know you probably have loads of questions but you must know that I don’t hold all the answers. One day you will be reunited with your brothers and maybe you will have nephews and nieces in the future. Shine bright my star. I am so proud of you and your brothers but especially you. Omega.
Yours Sincerely,
99.
Omega wiped away a tear that had slipped down her face while she stared at the words on the screen in front of her. Switching off the datapad, she elegantly moved past Wrecker and the clones who were still reading their own datapads. Her legs quickly carried her to the side of the room where Crosshair stood leaning against the wall watching his kids playing with the few toys Crosshair had managed to scrape together.
He looked up at her approach and taking notice of the dried up tear tracks on her face, he uncrossed his arms before gently coaxing her into his arms. She silently cried into his shoulder, his back shielding her from the view of the others. Crosshair had changed to protect his children and Omega liked this side of Crosshair; she had never felt so emotionally safe in all of her life without her missing brother. The two clicked. Hunter looked up from his reading and smiled at what he saw from his angle. A frown appeared on his face when he saw Crosshair wince and shake his head a little.
Crosshair turned his head and looked at his kids. Ashton stared at him slightly holding Honey against him. Leaping into action, Crosshair gently placed Omega onto her own feet before grabbing his own oxygen small tank he had in his own pocket before disconnecting it and kneeling down to his children and replacing Honey’s small oxygen module that attached to her arm. Making sure the mask was on properly, he smiled at his kids smiling back at him. His smile faltered when a pain in his head made him stop in his tracks, he had been hit in the back of the head.
Crosshair turned around to meet Rex’s glare. “Hey!” Hunter shouted pulling Rex back who glared at Hunter shoving him away. Rex’s fist soon found Crosshair again striking him across the face, making Crosshair stumble into Hunter who caught him. “Rex!” Ahsoka grabbed Rex who looked at her. “What is wrong!” she tapped her foot waiting on an answer. “Jesse is alive!. Crosshair has known this whole time!”. Ahsoka stood in shock before she turned to face Crosshair who had shrunk in on himself. She grabbed his armour bringing him forward, “You Told Me Jesse Was DEAD!”.
Crosshair gulped before backing away from all hands, he placed his hand on the wall closest to him, fighting the voice inside of his head. Violently he shook his head, ignoring the looks and the yelling in the room. He reached for his helmet only to have it slapped out of his hand. Echo shoved him into the wall behind him quite violently, knocking the breath out of him. Crosshair grimaces at the taste of blood in his mouth from his broken yet healing ribs. “Crosshair! So help me, if you have been lying about the others too. I will slowly cause you pain…!” Ahsoka ranted from the side.
The Bad Batch couldn’t believe their eyes, the regular clones and Jedi had turned on Crosshair so quickly that they didn’t believe it themselves. But, there was no way in hell they would allow their batch-mate to go through whatever this was. Wrecker shoved through the clones safely bringing Crosshair to the arms of his batch. Tech and Hunter quickly checked their batch-mate while Wrecker stood like a tank at the front. “Wrecker! Move!” “Not going to happen Captain until you all calm down. You too Echo” Wrecker commanded, blocking his brothers from view.
Rex then did the unthinkable: he shoved Wrecker out of the way with Havok’s help. Wrecker stumbled but was caught by Gregor who moved quickly to help the batch. Howzer and Wolffe walked into the room and sprung into action. Something was wrong with Kamino. Rex shoved Tech out of the way and aimed to punch Hunter when Crosshair shoved him out of the way, taking the punch to the ribs. Hunter shared a frightened look with Tech when they heard a snap of one of Crosshair’s ribs. Crosshair glared, ignoring the searing pain in his side, his eyes turned red, increasing the intensity of his glare. Echo, Havok and Rex backed up when Crosshair stepped forward backing the three into a wall. Crosshair reached for something in his pocket and threw it at Rex who caught it. With a few words, “Do me a favour, don’t accuse someone of something that they weren’t aware of!”. Crosshairs eyes remained red when he picked his two children up and left the room. Omega quickly followed him, ignoring Hunter’s attempted reach for her. Wolffe followed after her to keep an eye on her.
Rex never saw the fist coming until darkness reached his vision. Hunter smirked at Tech who had just punched the former Captain. Thorn laughed at the state of the room, having just joined everyone since he kept reading while they argued.
Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Howzer, Gregor and Thorn left the room to follow the ones they cared for the most.
Hunter’s thoughts on what he just read while he looked for his lover.
