Chapter 58

Six months later…

The first thing Tech registered was the fuzzy feeling in the back of his mind, almost like he was trying to remember something but every time he recalled the memory it would slip away from him. Sitting up slowly he noticed he was lying in what looked like a healing room. His eyes searched the room to see both Wrecker and Hunter on either side of him. Just where were they? A cold shiver ran up his spine as he noticed he was only wearing a sheet that was half covering him. 

It took him a minute to find his glasses, when he did. He noticed a top, pants and sandals at the bottom of the slab thing he lay on. What had happened? Where were the others? More importantly, why did he feel like he had been drugged and then sedated?

A groan to the right stopped his thoughts as Wrecker came back to the land of the living. The giant wore a similar expression to what Tech had. He was utterly confused as was Hunter who took a minute to wake up but by the time the batch leader was awake. Wrecker and Tech were standing over him. Hunter frowned, accepting the clothes and changing into them. The three then stumbled to the door, Wrecker seemed to get his footing first and helped the others out the door only to gasp. 

The view of what looked like a small village with a striking palace sitting over the hill was breathtaking, just where were they? Taking a look back Hunter noticed the place they had come out of looked like a hospital of some sort. Movement to the right coming down the small hill made them smile at the familiar faces.

"HUNTER!"

"TECH!"

"WRECKY!" 

Wrecker chuckled seeing Fives running ahead of Omega, the arc trooper slowed down to stop himself from the two landing on the ground. Seeing Fives hesitation, Wrecker wrapped his arms around his partner pulling him close. The giant could feel his koalas shaking shoulders almost like he was keeping his emotions at bay. Wrecker turned to see the reunions of the others.

Tech was wrapped up in Echo's arms while Hunter was surrounded by children. The batch leader smiled holding them all close. Crux stood at the side chuckling holding Archer in his arms while Marcus was holding Jasper since Scarlett was with her parents. Jasper kept pulling Marcus' hair. 

"Woah! They've gotten bigger!" Wrecker cried out taking his son from the bounty hunter who nodded in thanks. 

"Yeah, Marcus hadn't stabbed them on time…ow! Really! Paps!" Crux whined moving away from Echo, the man had whacked him. "How long have we been out?" Hunter asked almost too afraid for the answer. 

"Six long months" Echo admitted bouncing Scarlett on his hip. 

"How old are they now?" Tech asked, looking at his daughter in his partner's arms. 

"Jasper and Scarlett according to Solana are 2. Archer is still growing at the normal pace. He is 1. Honey and Ashton are 5. After Marcus realised, he asked personally off Howzer for the ageing injections. He went and received a box of 25. In case we bump into anyone in the future" Echo explained passing Scarlett over to Tech who happily took his daughter.

The three looked a bit worried, "What happened?" Hunter pointed at them three. "According to Shaak Ti, you were injected by one of the stormtrooper medics who thought they knew what they were doing. It caused an allergic reaction and the three of you slipped into comas. So for the past six months the healers have performed a ritual and have woken you up." Echo explained, looking at Ashton who was chasing Honey around them. Omega smirked from her place in Hunter's arms. 

Hunter nodded looking at Tech who smiled, Wrecker was holding Fives close as the arc trooper told him of his wild adventure when he was sick. Wrecker tightened his grip when Fives joked that he almost died. It took Tech a minute to realise that Echo wasn't in armour but in what looked like casual clothes. He noticed Marcus and Crux were still wearing their coats but had casual clothes on too.
