Chapter 61 - Final Chapter

“HOW!” Palpatine roared while Solana only smirked, a scraping of metal against the ground turned all attention to the individual. 

“Crosshair?!” Hunter’s voice carried across the room as the marksman stood glaring at the two individuals in front of them all. Darth Vader ran forward intending on getting this over with quickly, he pulled out his lightsaber once again ready to strike when he soon found himself unable to move. Crosshair held one hand up holding him in place as his eyes glowed white, tilting his head he mentally destroyed what was left of Vader’s mind. All of them watched as Vader dropped to the ground holding his head in pure agony, Obi-wan actually cried out for his old padawan which dropped Crosshairs focus, the marksman turned to face the jedi when something made him whip around and bring an arm up to block the lightsaber aiming for him. He blocked it with the only piece of armour still left on his body and that was his gauntlets. He glared at Vader who used his own strength over the marksman who smiled which confused his opponent as he kicked the sith lord away from his body only to groan in pain. A light encased his body as the two celestial beings of his powers appeared, the demon and angel appeared on either side of him. Solana gasped seeing her son's guardians, she gasped feeling pain spread through her own body as something stabbed her chest. Palpatine smiled seeing his spear had gone through her chest. Crosshair managed to catch Cal’s lightsaber and without warning he stabbed it in Vader’s direction. He certainly didn’t expect it to go through the sith lord’s chest, he expected Vader to dodge it but it seemed the sith lord had given up as the helmet came off and with a few words ‘Thank you’, Vader slipped into the world of death. Crosshair took a step back to catch his breath as he did that a sharp pain brought him to his knees. 

The batch looked over in confusion when their marksman dropped to his knees clutching his chest just as Solana’s body dropped to the ground.

“NO!” Omega screamed running for her ‘mother’. 

“OMEGA NO!” Hunter cried out just as Palpatine shot his powers at the young girl intending on killing her to only for it to bounce off the girl and head back in his direction with a tint of red in it. An explosion happened where the emperor once stood, Omega gasped as arms wrapped around her pulling her close. She was unaware of who had saved her as she looked up her brown eyes soon met those of chocolate eyes. 

“Caspian?” 

“Omega” Crosshairs soothing voice reached her ears, tears slipped down her face as she tightened her grip on him. Crosshair didn’t mind as he pulled her tighter to his chest hiding her from the rest of the world. A tap on his shoulder made him look up only to see the rest of the batch, slowly he climbed to his feet only to be pulled into a deep warm hug. Hunter kissed his forehead pulling him close which he did the same with Omega who instantly latched onto her father. Hunter pulled her close whispering words of comfort that only he could give her. The batch instantly surrounded the children as Ashton and Honey slipped in with Cal to hug Omega, the young girl invited them all even Archer who giggled at her. Omega couldn't be happier, she had the best family who was there for her whenever she needed them.

This gave Crosshair time to slip out of the hug to where the one’s he called ‘mother’ lay. Eyes watched him from afar as he kneeled down beside Shaak Ti and muttered something as his hand glowed passing over her. Once he was done, he turned his attention to Solana who clung to life. 

“Son, I am glad you made it but you must know…my time is up. Promise me, you will return home and…” Solana coughed up blood in her throat, Crosshair lifted her slightly into a more seated position, she smiled at his caring nature. “Look after them…I see it now…they are your family…they need you…you are their…heart…I love you…Caspian…Please tell Omega…….I’m sorry…..I did it out of protection….she is older than you…she is the equivalent age of….*coughing*....20….I did….something to her…once she turns 18….she will have a choice whether to…..change to her proper age or….stay as the child she is….it’s up to her….I love you both….use your powers for good….it’s not the end….your father will return….the angel is going to leave you and you will….be stuck with the demon….i’m sorry son, you are the dark while your…..sister is the light….I love you both….remember my words….see you in the….stars…”. It was at that moment Solana’s grip to his hand disappeared and Crosshair missed his helmet as involuntarily tears slipped down his face. His mother closed her eyes for the final time and the angel disappeared with not only her but Shaak Ti too.
