(In this chapter: Mention of rape + Crosshair and Hunter have a moment near the end - smut-love)

It was decided that the batch twins would take the lead on dealing with the commander. The four clones followed the furious commander down the corridors until they reached the shooting range. Echo and Fives watched Commander Wolffe pick his favourite pistols up and turn the level up to 8 out of 10 and just shoot for the hell of it. He didn’t miss a target. Echo looked at his twin who nodded. As the simulation came to an end, the twins made their approach with Rex and Cody watching from a few steps away.

“Wolffe?” The commander seemed to either not hear them or just not acknowledge them. “Wolfey?” Five's softer tone broke the trance the commander was in. Wolffe turned to look at the twins with his helmet on, Echo and Fives frowned. Cody went to step forward and takeover when Rex grabbed his hand and shook his head. Wolffe’s body language was all over the place but from what Rex could tell, there was deep guilt showing the most.

“Who contacted you?” Echo asked, feeling Fives tighten his grip on his shoulder. Wolffe frowned underneath his helmet, he pressed a button on his wrist watch which cut the comms, shut the door and switched off the camera’s in the room. The twins shared a look when Cody and Rex joined their little circle, Wolffe leaned against the wall slightly before reaching up to take his helmet off. Showing his normal impassive face was now full of emotion.

“It was Fox,” Wolffe said while looking anywhere but at their faces.

“What does he want?” Cody asked, inching closer to his frustrated brother.

“Revenge” Wolffe’s reply came bluntly to them all. Rex didn’t move an inch, knowing his older brother would make the first move.

“Why?” Fives asked, while holding his hand up like a cadet. Cody smacked it which earned a grin from Echo. Crossing his arms like a petulant child, Fives stuck his tongue out.

“Because I chose someone else over him” Wolffe remained blunt, while fiddling with his helmet, he had the urge to put it on and hide from the piercing glares.

“If you don’t mind me asking, Who?” Echo knew they would get the answer but Cody still seemed to ask.

“Howzer”

Silence filled the small area, Wolffe double-checked the camera’s were down.

“So, he had a crush on you or something and now is having a temper-tantrum like a child” Fives pointed out with crossed arms.

“Not really” Wolffe answered. Rex looked at his older brother who had reached over to grab Rex’s arm to keep himself grounded. Cody shared a look and moved to the other side of Wolffe, the two being the commander's pillars. “What do you mean?” Cody asked while directing Wolffe to sit down on some nearby chairs. Wolffe huffed, looking at them all. “This under any circumstances, doesn’t leave the room. Understand”. After receiving worried looks and nods, Wolffe continued, “When I first met Fox he was good and caring. We essentially clicked, we would stay in touch with each other through the war and occasionally meet up. It was going well until he lost a few of his brothers or so he called them. Turns out he was sleeping with others but not in the best interest. Anyway, it bothered me but I had duties to the wolfpack, so I made sure they were my first priority. Fox didn’t like that. He certainly didn’t like it when I met you two. Fox always complained about you two” Wolffe gestured to Cody and Rex who shared a look, they tightened their grip on Wolffe’s hands. Echo and Fives moved closer, “See at the time, I had one job, make sure my pack survived. It soon became clear that Fox was a controlling person who liked to be dominant, which I soon found out in the bedroom. At first, I wasn’t entirely bothered but then it started getting rough and it hurt, I will admit that. Touches soon turned into bruises. I ended up confiding in Comet and Sinker, the two became my little brothers. However, word got around to Fox that my brothers knew something about our ‘relationship’. Anyway that's when things go physical. He punched me…” Wolffe stopped to take a breather, he looked for his helmet but soon found it out of reach. “You don’t have to go….” Rex was cut off by his older brother's glare.
