Chapter 49

Hours flew by as the Havok Marauder flew through space. Rex had just been in contact with Cody who had informed him that it was Havok who gave away their location. Fox had said he would make it up to them by putting himself deep within the Empire and the only thing that got Havok to listen to reason was telling him that Fox was in danger everyday because of their mistakes. The commander was still suffering with his chip side effects and needed to work so he decided to risk his own life and put it on the line to locate more of their brothers. Although Cody already forgave him and so did many others, Fox had to make it right. He had been tortured and abused via different methods whether medically, physically or mentally. Wolffe and Howzer had found out the chancellor had been controlling Fox for years and although Wolffe forgave him slightly after learning the truth. Fox just couldn't forgive himself for being so weak allowing the chancellor to destroy him from the inside out. Many clones suffered because of the chancellor's control over Fox's body. He had to save the others before they suffered the same as he did.

The ships landed in a disclosed forest which turned out to be an underground facility as the landing pads soon found themselves underground in what looked like a city. Cid had been dropped off earlier on Ord Mantell and personally asked for a commlink to be kept up to date. She even threatened Fives who ensured he would report in with pictures of the kids and himself. It only earned him a slap and Wrecker saved him from her wrath with a promise they would stay in touch.

"Woah! Where are we?" Omega asked Rex who rubbed her head placing his helmet on before leaving the Marauder. Crosshair was still sleeping in Hunter's arms beside the equally sleeping batch leader. The batch split up, Wrecker and Fives followed after Rex while Echo, Tech and Howzer remained with the kids. 

Fives own eyes widened when he saw brothers who thought he had died. Wrecker watched as Fives was pulled into many hugs, he kept a protective look on his face especially since Cal had come with them. The youngling was wide eyed, especially when he saw someone he thought he'd never see again. Shaak Ti smiled at him as he ran towards her, Wrecker followed knowing Crosshair would have his head if he lost sight of the boy. 

"Uncle Wrecky? Where are you going?" Wrecker whipped around only to groan. Honey had followed him, he quickly pinged Echo to inform he had Honey as he brought her into his arms. "Following your brother" Honey only smiled, climbing to sit on his shoulder. 

"Where's Fivey?" Honey asked another question while waving at random people as they passed. Wrecker smirked, "I'm here. Wreck, can I borrow Honey?" Fives said with a smile. Wrecker raised an eyebrow. "Come on, I won't lose her. I just want to show her to…" 

"Hey aren't you part of the bad batch?" A reg asked. Wrecker nodded, "Ah, how cute you got yourself a mascot" he laughed. Fives eyes widened when he saw tears in his partner's eyes. Honey also looked sad, Fives was not having this. "Leave it" Wrecker tried to whisper and reach for Fives who moved quicker and punched the regular clone making him land on his knees. 

"How dare you say that! Do you know the bad batch is the reason you have two feet under you! The reason why you are alive and not dead in the ground. Well I'm going to remind you, if it weren't for their inside information. This place wouldn't have existed so DON'T YOU DARE make fun of them. The one you claimed is a mascot, is Wreckers niece and he doesn't take kindly to your abuse. Do you want to know who her parents are, hmm? With the shaking of your heads, I'm gathering you don't so listen here you little insignificant prick! The bad batch are my family and if you DARE speak one word of abuse to them ever again, you will find yourself on the worst duty again. Do you understand me soldier!" 

When he got no response from the shocked clones, he leaned forward, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME! COMMANDER!" Fives yelled earning all attention. Rex turned from his place speaking to Cody, Shaak Ti, Obi-wan and Mace Windu.
