The City of Contracts...to think that the scenery had changed so much...

As the sun's reflection mirrored the sky-blue ocean, the day had just begun for the city's inhabitants. In the main lobby of Bubu Pharmacy, stood Zhongli who was speaking to another doctor.

Rera, who suffered from mental, physical, and psychological trauma was recovering quickly. Her daily checkups, medicine, and exercise were enough to heal. Be that as it may, Rera can still suffer from panic attacks. Regardless of how strong she thinks she is, things that remind her of the incident on Dragonspine will trigger her panic attacks depending on how much it affected her.

"Based on the results, Rera can leave in about three days starting today." The doctor spoke, tapping his pen on the clipboard. "Her physical scars will last for quite a long time, but should still be treated until it's no longer visible."

"Understood."

"Oh, and do be wary about her emotions. I have heard many stories about the Adepti and how destructive their power can be if they are overwhelmed."

"...I see."

"It is intriguing though...to think that we would be able to observe how fast an Adeptus could recover from such horrible wounds...it's fascinating..."

"..."

"A-ah! I mean no offense!"

"Haha...I can understand the excitement..."

"Ahaha...it's just...such an honor to see one in person..." the doctor laughed awkwardly.

"..."

"But I must say that I am curious...may I ask something?"

"Feel free." Zhongli nodded.

"It's strange...when she first awoke, I was sure that her Adeptus power would blow up the entire building, but that doesn't seem to be the case." The doctor said, "It's almost as if...it doesn't exist."

"..."

"Is she even a real Adeptus?" The doctor asked in a judgmental tone, "If so, then she's rather weak."

"..."

Putting his hands behind his back, Zhongli hid his clenched fist as he forced a smile. Zhongli has witnessed the ugliness of humanity time and time again. It was disgusting and gut-wrenching. He wished to bury him, but unfortunately, this isn't the old Liyue anymore.

"Haah...and here I thought that I'd be seeing a real one." The doctor sighed disappointedly, "Turns out I won't be making a wish..."

"You disgusting vile mortal. To think that these are the people Guizhong sought to protect."

Slowly raising his hand towards the doctor, Zhongli let his anger take control of his body. He wanted to strangle him. He wanted to bury him. He wanted to get rid of him.

"Your desires know no bounds. Perhaps I shall-"

"Zhongli?"

!!!

Feeling a slight tug on his tailcoat, Zhongli lowered his hand to his side. Glancing behind him, he sees Rera standing next to him.

"How long has she been standing there? I haven't even heard her footsteps..."

"A-ah...Rera..." Zhongli muttered, "Why are you outside?"

"I wanna go out." She replied nonchalantly.

"Very well, but please wait inside of the ward. I have something to discuss with this doctor." Zhongli smiled.

"Kay." Rera nodded, silently walking back to the ward.
