"The illusion?" Xiao repeated.

"Yeah..." Rera nodded.

"And what exactly do you want to know about it?"

"...Is it possible for you to make me experience something like that?"

"..."

Staring at the young Adeptus before him, he crossed his arms as he thought about it. The Adepti are capable of many things, many were even capable of miracles.

Xiao was capable of many things, yet he had not tried to manipulate someone's dreams before. He has devoured them and stole them from others, but to grant someone a dream? He wasn't sure this would work out.

"I do not know. I have never tried it before." He answered.

"Oh...I see." Rera spoke, a little disappointed.

Watching her smile turn into a frown, Xiao sighed.

"You should not turn back to that kind of dream. It's better if you just forget it."

"For...get..."

"If it was something you wish to fix or see, then forget it. Attaching yourself to the past which you cannot change is nothing more than a waste of time. Move on."

"...You speak of it like it's so easy."

"It is not. With time, you will see that."

"..."

"What...happened to you?" Xiao asked.

"What do you mean?"

"I heard that Erebus could not find you. That you went missing. What happened?"

"Oh, it's a long story..."

Rera went into detail about what happened. From the time that Taiyo kidnapped her to the end of her dream. She was still shaken up by what she witnessed. She struggled to word what happened to the three children, almost wanting to throw up.

Yet the entire time, Xiao was patient. He understood that what happened to her was hard to explain. He didn't mind if it took her a while to say it. Xiao stood in front of her, taking in the information.

Eventually, Rera managed to say what she could remember. She took shakily took a deep breath and looked up at Xiao, to which a warm hand was placed on her head.

"I am sorry that you have gone through that." Xiao spoke softly.

"...I just...I just wish I could've done more to help them..."

"It was out of your control. Do not blame yourself. Instead, steel your resolve and focus on our training. Only then will you be able to get back at the people who have harmed you and the others."

"But that Taiyo guy was-"

"It does not matter whether they are a powerful opponent or not. If you look down upon yourself in the face of your enemy, you will lose."

"..."

"I have faith in you. I believe that you will become stronger than any other. So do not let this one loss bring you down."

"...Okay."

"Good. We will resume your training tomorrow. Be prepared, it will be much harder than before."

"...Will I have to take more naps?"

"Yes, you will." He nodded as he moved his hand away.

"Ugh..."

"I would rather you take naps than resort to food. After all, I would not want Rex Lapis to carry such a-"
