Words can only have so much meaning,
actions speak much louder. As Rera fell into a deep slumber, she found herself slowly falling into an abyss of mirrors. Just like the ones from before, they floated in the abyss. There was nothing more than the mirrors. Simply a dark corridor with mirrors everywhere.
"Not this place..." Rera muttered, "Now I have to talk to Ruele again..."
Remembering the events that caused her to meet Ruele, Rera went through it all again. But she did not see her past self in a mirror. She did not break anything. It only transported her straight to the Throne Room without question.
"Hmph! You should be grateful I'm even doing this for you." Ruele huffed.
"Who asked you to do any of this?"
"Clearly not you." Ruele mumbled, rolling her eyes. "Listen up. With your physical body in limbo, I can't do a damn thing. Especially with that annoying barrier..."
"Okay? That still doesn't-"
"Your Spiritual Form is the only thing that remains since ya got knocked out." Ruele groaned, "It's basically like your consciousness."
"Still doesn't help. If I slept for a month, then it would be done in a flash." Rera sighed.
"That's boring. Sleeping goes by within a few seconds and you wake up as fast as you can blink."
"Just get to the point already. Why did you bring me here?"
"..."
Ruele diverted her eyes to the side as she sighed. She didn't want to talk to Rera, but she wanted to prevent her from doing something.
"...I figured that you'd be bored. So I'll let you ask some questions."
"...Do you know how pointless and irrelevant this interaction is?" Rera questioned, suspicious of Ruele's momentary pause.
"So will you ask away or not?" She scoffed, "Just so ya know, I have the right to not answer certain questions."
"..."
In deep thought, Rera questioned herself. Should she take this chance or should she deny it? Whatever the outcome may be, having some questions answered will mean fewer things to be worried about.
"Alright, how did you get those powers?" Rera queried, "Loki is the only person able to control the Shadows in this world."
"Unlike you, I was able to gain powers upon awakening."
"Awakening?"
"Remember when someone offered you a hand when those Cultists told ya that they killed that kid? That hatred caused part of our soul to fracture and split away. And bam! That was my time to shine!"
"Our soul was already worn out by that time. Y'know, too much hatred is the start of an interesting anime plot. And some issues. And some like, really bad heart problems?" Rule continued.
"I hate myself that much? There's no way that's possible-"
"There's no such thing as no way, as long as there is a possibility, it exists. Remember?"
As Ruele spoke those words, Rera felt like slapping herself. Living by certain principles and beliefs is easier said than done. There are some points in life that people tend to forget.
"So a piece of my soul split. And you somehow got powers after I got pissed off? Wow. Story logic."
"Pretty much. But you should know that spirits and stuff exist in Teyvat. Some of them can act as long as a certain requirement is met. But! I've existed longer than that."
