As the two returned to the Roseweiss estate, Rera hid behind Ashe as she saw Erith. She stood in front of the front door, arms crossed as she glared daggers at Rera. Unsure of how she let Rera escape, Erith was suspicious of the young Adeptus.
She should have been able to catch her at the window and run after her if she managed to make it out. But as Erith remembered the Adepti and their unknown powers, she shrugged it off but was still visibly annoyed.
"Erith." Ashe spoke, "Is Rinea home?"
"Oh yes, she is. She came not too long ago." Erith smiled innocently, visibly angered. "Lady Rera, where have you been?"
"U-uh...out with Mister Ashe...?"
"Did I not tell you to stay in your room? Did I not tell you to rest?"
"Ahaha..." Rera chuckled awkwardly, holding onto Ashe's leg.
"The servants were in a panic. We looked all over for you."
"I thought Mister Ashe gave you a signal?"
"..."
"Signal? What signal?" Erith asked, confused.
As they both looked at Ashe, he averted his gaze as Erith clicked her tongue.
"Tch. That was supposed to be a signal?" Erith scoffed, "No wonder why I didn't get it..."
"..."
"In any case, don't do that again. We were worried sick. Understand?" Erith spoke strictly.
"Y-yes..."
"...Her grace is in the dining hall. Please take a quick bath before-"
"No need." Ashe interrupted.
Walking up to the door, Ashe opened it himself as he held it open for Rera. Rera saw how annoyed Erith became as she clenched her fists, but still entered the estate.
"Erith, are you coming?" Rera asked.
"Yes, I-"
Slam!
"..."
"You goddamn son of a bitch." Erith cursed as a vein popped into her forehead.
"Mister Ashe, I don't think that was necessary..." Rera sighed, slightly concerned.
"The food will get cold. Let's go." He shrugged, quickly walking to the dining hall.
"He really wants to see his wife, huh?" Loki scoffed.
"At least he has someone."
"Shut up, you have no game."
Following Ashe to the dining hall, Rera pulled up her chair and sat down. She was greeted by Rinea with a warm smile and wave.
"Good evening Rera, did you enjoy your little adventure with Ashe?" Rinea asked, "You weren't hurt at all, right?"
"Nope, Mister Ashe protected me!" Rera shook her head. "I had a lot of fun!"
"Good, I'm glad to hear that."
"How about you? How was your mission?"
"It went well, though I feel that it would go much smoother if you were there..." Rinea sighed, holding her hand to her face.
"Me? Why?"
"Rinea likes to make a lasting impression on children." Ashe answered.
"True! That way, we would have a lot of capable knights in the future!" Rinea nodded.
