"A festival?!" Rera excitedly repeated, "When?!"

"It should be around next month on the 22nd," Rufus replied.

Rera wondered why it had been busy lately, it turned out that a Festival was happening soon. It has only been recently announced, but many bards and bands alike have been scrambling about to prepare. Rumors say that the winner will earn one million Mora and be sponsored by a popular music company. That sure woke up the musicians.

"Will we be able to attend?"

"Of course your grace." Rufus smiled, "Her highness has already approved of it."

"Sound fun! I can't wait!"

"Oho? Do you plan on joining?"

"...I can? But I thought it was for musicians?"

"The Festival is open to everyone. But there is only a limited amount of contestants that they can accept."

"How many?"

"About one hundred fifty."

"And how long is the festival?"

"Five days. Thirty participants will play each day and be judged by the music company."

"Hmm..."

Brushing her hair, Rera pondered. She didn't need the Mora, nor did she need to be sponsored by some popular music company. The thought of performing songs made her anxious as both she and Melia had never faced an audience before.

Performing songs from Earth didn't sound like a bad idea. It's just a song, Celestia shouldn't care too much about it even if it was from another world. Rera hardly has time to listen to music from Earth, it would be nice to hear them again. It would be nice to remember songs that she and Rai used to listen to...

"Your grace?" Rufus called.

"Ah, as much as I appreciate the idea, I already have enough on my plate. Becoming a musician while being a daughter of a noble house, being a Half-Adeptus, and an Adventurer is already a lot as it is."

"I understand. But you do not have to accept the prize."

"What?"

"You can give the prize to another individual if you win. Yes, it is true that you do not need or want to be a musician, but there are others who aspire to become them."

"I respect them and their dreams, but I feel like it would be offensive. They might think that I'm too arrogant."

"..."

"Excuse my bluntness, this is something that Erith usually says but..." Rufus cleared his throat before speaking, "Who cares about what other people think?"

"..."

"...I'll think about it. And thank you, Rufus."

"It is no problem."

With a small bow, Rufus left Rera's room and closed the door behind him. Rera placed her brush back on her desk and let out a long sigh. The idea was pretty tempting. It made her excited just thinking about it.

Tap tap tap!

Hearing a tapping noise on a window, Rera glanced around her room to see where it came from. It was only when she picked up on a familiar presence that she recognized who it was. Smiling to herself, she walked to her balcony and opened the doors.

Sitting on the stone railing, a bard clad in green held a harp and strummed its strings. The melody brought back old memories and nostalgia. She knew of only one bard capable of capturing past melodies, and that was Venti, the Anemo Archon.
