The following day, Rinea and her Knights explored Windrise in order to find the cause of the Ley Line disruption. Rinea often chatted with Rera, becoming closer by the day. She would note how sweet the young Adeptus was, viewing her as her own daughter.

Ashe, on the other hand, did not speak much. He seemed jealous that Rinea was spending so much time with Rera. The other Knights would talk with Rera as well, asking about her time in Liyue and many other things. Rera was careful and chose her words wisely so she would not reveal too much about herself and the others. But over time, she would find herself enjoying their conversations.

"So, where is this Ley Line anomaly at?" Rera questioned.

"According to the scouts, the area should be right about...there." Rinea pointed out.

Glancing over to the area Rera sees many monsters gather around the Ley Line anomaly. They emitted a strange light as well, the Slimes were coated in a light blue aura, even the Whopperflowers and Hilichurls. But from the way they gathered, it seemed as if they were guarding the Ley Line.

"Alright, everyone!" Rinea exhaled, gripping her claymore. "Ready?"

"Ready!" They shouted in unison.

"Then let's go!"

Raising their weapons high, they all charged toward the monsters. Alert, the monsters retaliated in response. Although the command wasn't very thought out, each of the knight's skills was very admirable. They attacked at their own pace but watched each other's backs at the same time. The teamwork was off at some points, but nonetheless efficient.

"I thought we were only here to scout." Rera spoke, confused.

"The Reconnaissance Company received orders to scout and defeat the monsters." Ashe replied, "You would kill them too, rather than just let them be."

"Oh, then would it be okay if I joined in? I have a test to finish anyway."

"Go ahead."

"Yay!"

Summoning her blade in hand, Rera rushed toward the enemy. Swiftly, she defeated five slimes in one slash, two Whopperflowers in three slashes, and four Hilichurls in three. The Knights, shocked by her skill, decided to take things seriously and fight. For they did not want to be humiliated like Ashe was.

With the last of the Whopperflowers, all of the monsters were slain, resulting in their victory. The Knights cheered and shouted, smiling brightly.

"Waah! Rera that was so amazing!" Rinea laughed, hugging the child tightly. "I didn't know you were so good with a sword!"

"Miss R-Rinea...! I c-can't breathe...!"

"What say you become one of my Knights? Hm?"

"With all due respect, I can't."

"Boo...we would have so much fun together..."

"Hm? Miss Rinea, there's something over there." Rera pointed out.

Near the Ley Line anomaly, there was a small opening in the mountain. It seemed to lead further inside.

"Ah, that Rera, is a Domain." Rinea answered, "Usually we'd let the Adventurer's Guild deal with this matter, but if it is this close to our investigation site, then we must report this to the Grand Master."

"So that means that you have to return to the city?"

"Correct! So I guess we can explore Mondstadt together! I'll give you a tour, ooh! And we'll eat the local specialties-!"
