Walking down the hall, Crepus lets out an exasperated sigh. Not only were his documents completely drenched, but important letters as well. He and the servants have tried to salvage as much as possible, but it was useless.

The ink was smudged and blurred beyond comprehension. The paper was soggy, and difficult to hold without falling apart. The storm had caused enough stress as it is, along with his childish son's behavior.

Just as he steps to the top of the staircase, he hears hushed voices murmuring. Curious, he heads in the direction of the voices, dragging his hand across the railing until he can see straight down the corridor.

"What are you all doing gathering around my son's room?" Crepus asked, scaring everyone.

"Ah! Master Crepus, please, come look!" A maid whispered, gesturing for him to come to the door.

Confused, Crepus walked to the door as the servants made way. Proceeding through the door, he sees a sight most comforting that his stress melted away. The three children slept soundly together; Rera slept between the two brothers. Diluc on her right and Kaeya on her left. It was a wholesome atmosphere, making the hardworking servants stop to see.

Resting a blanket over the children, Crepus smiled as he exited the room.

"Let's not disturb them, please continue working."

"Understood." The servants nodded.

(A few hours later)

Awakening from her slumber, Rera attempted to sit up, however, she couldn't move. Looking at what was stopping her, she was surprised to find that she was sleeping in another room with Diluc and Kaeya. Slowly, her memories of the previous day came to her.

Rera was scared by the lightning, and then Diluc and Kaeya helped her out. She didn't want them to know of her weakness, but it was inevitable. She couldn't hide it forever, not even her horns that were exposed to the cold afternoon air.

"Loki, are you there?"

"..."

"Hmm, still no response." Rera sighed in her head, "Where the hell is he? He didn't...come to help me..."

"..."

"Ah! It's fine! He must've been busy."

Calming her mind, Rera focused on her current situation. Sitting up, Rera lifts Diluc's arm off of her, placing it on his side. Standing, she carefully made her way out of bed, hopping down barefoot onto the cold floor. Wincing, Rera quickly shifted her feet into some nearby slippers.

"I wonder what time is it. I think it's afternoon right now."

Leaving the room, Rera heads to hers. While on the way, she rubs her eyes slowly, removing the morning star.

"Ah, good afternoon Miss Rera." Adelinde greeted warmly.

"Mm, afternoon." Rera hummed sleepily.

"Are the young masters awake?"

"No, I was the only one."

"I see...in any case, if there is something you wish to eat, please do not hesitate to ask the chefs to make something."

"I will, thank you."

"If I may, could I ask a question?"

"Hm? Sure."

"Why do you hide your horns?"

"...Huh, I guess I never really thought about it." Rera mumbled, surprised by her slow realization. "I used to live in Liyue, and I know that a ton of people respect the Adepti and everything. But I wanna be equal with them, I don't want them to speak to me formally. So I guess I hide them to not freak people out."
