Everything is still memorable.
Because of that, my daughter is now in a state of chaos...
FLASHBACK
It was a fresh morning when I woke up.
Napag isipan kong bumaba and I saw my wife, Milina, in the kitchen. Kasama niya ang aming limang taong gulang na anak, si Lamia, na ngayo'y naka upo sa hapag kainan at tinitignan ang Mama niyang masayang nagluluto ng agahan namin.
I went to my wife and hugged her from behind while she was cooking. I buried my face in her neck and sniffed.
"Good morning, baby... You smell so good..." I whispered.
I heard her giggle, and she turned around to face me. She smiled and softly kissed my lips. "Good morning, baby..." she said. Then, she happily pinched my nose, and I smiled as I admired her beautiful smile.
"Dada!"
Suddenly, I heard my little girl. Nakangiti akong lumapit kay Lamia and I kissed her cheek. "Hey there, sweetie. Good morning..." I whispered and she chuckled softly.
"Dada! Good morning!"
I chuckled, "Energetic as always, my princess."
"Carry me, Dada! Carry me!" I chuckled after hearing those words. Binuhat ko si Lamia at lumapit sa aking asawa na ngayo'y masayang nakatingin sa amin.
Tumabi ako sa kaniya habang buhat-buhat si, Lamia. "Parang masarap 'yan ah." I told her while I was staring at her as she mixed the food in the stock pot.
"Of course, it's your favorite soup after all."
"You didn't wake me up, huh? I can cook, you know."
"Silly, I didn't wake you up anymore because I know you are tired."
"Momma! I want to taste it already!" Lamia suddenly spoke up, her energy showing as I carried her. I laughed after hearing those words from her.
"Almost done, sweetie..." Inilipat ng asawa ko ang sabaw na niluto niya sa isang malaking bowl, at pagkatapos ay inilagay niya iyon sa hapag-kainan. Pagkatapos, inilagay ko si Lamia sa upuan at umupo na rin ako sa aking upuan, katabi ang asawa ko, habang si Lamia naman ay nasa harapan namin.
Nang magsimula kaming kumain, hindi namin maiwasang maging masaya. Kahit simple lang ang buhay namin, masaya na ako basta't makita ko lang na masaya ang mag-ina ko. They are so precious to me. Mababaliw ako kapag mawala sila sa akin.
"Anyway, how are you last night? You look so tired. Are you okay?"
My wife asked me all of a sudden.
I looked at her. "I'm fine. I'm not tired anymore since I'm with you two." I glanced at Lamia, who was eating happily.
"Hm, don't be so corny. I'm serious."
I smirked, took a sip of the soup from my spoon, and looked at her. "Well, I'm serious too." I winked at her.
Suddenly, she pinched my cheeks so hard that I couldn't help but chuckle. I heard Lamia laughing too, and I saw her looking at us.
