There had been far too many attacks lately in Ikebukuro; in the alleyways, in houses and also at times, in public buildings. Nobody knows who does it, because lately, the surveillance cameras in Ikebukuro tend to get disconnected very suddenly during specific times, right before an attack would occur. However, they'd connect automatically after the attacks, giving away a clear view of the blood, guts and corpses. Many predict the "Assassin" have found out that people know about them through cameras and television and media thinks that ever since then, the "Assassin"  had planned out to not let people know about its methods of killing nor of its whereabouts. Many detectives and policemen have attempted to track down this vicious murderer and exterminate it, but humans being the dimwitted ones they are wouldn't be able to do so that very easily.

There was one informant; however, who knew much better than to just relinquish. He knew he was clever enough to outsmart whoever this murderer was, since he had already begun suspecting on their identity. There were still a few cameras in Ikebukuro that only he had access to because he was the one who had set them up, and he uses those to stalk and gain information of the "Assassin." But however, he had always tried to find out this murderer's address, but in the end, they would always go in an alleyway after killing and after hours and hours of waiting, Izaya would see that no one would eventually come out.  This interested him greatly, thinking that there was something hidden within these alleyways that he didn't know of, something that helped them to stay out from his sights. He was not going to let that happen, not for long at least. Despite the fact that he didn't come to know much regarding this, he did come to know of one thing...

The "Assassin" was in his home last night.

~Last night, 4:30 am~

[Name] was strolling along the dim lit, narrow passageway of the "Underground" as she made sure that her plastic bags didn't catch on the weak fire from the many fire torches that hung along the dirt walls. She had been walking for somewhat 10 minutes and throughout this time, she kept stretching her arms out like a bird, saying abnormal things like, "Today I'm going to bake a cake for myself and probably add blood on the fondant to make it red!" or "Hmm... I should probably stab Shizuo... no... he's my friend... who nearly killed me! I should consider it really..." Her footsteps sounded mushy underneath the wet soil and each step she took made a big Glomp noise which made her think aloud, "I wonder how the soil got wet... could it be that someone came down here and dropped water accidentally? No, only I have the key to open the hatches, no one else. I should probably hide this key in a safer place," She then used the tips of her fingers of her occupied hands to reach into the golden key in her back pocket. When she did so, she looked at it as she walked examining its beauty and extraordinaire.

It had a solid gold surface with a peculiar geometric pattern along its side in silver with a black gem to the end of it. "It's a pity," said [Name] to herself, "That I can't shed this underneath my skin because it is made out of human resources. It just means that I'm going to have to be more careful from humans finding such a lovely treasure of mine..."

Just then, a thought struck through her mind. Her first murder after she had come to Ikebukuro was in 5P of the apartment complex, to a family of her mother's foes who had always wanted to kill both daughters ever since they had been born. She had used her pocket knife to unlock the front door; like it was a key. The dainty, shimmering, yellow pocket knife was like her police master key and was able to unlock every door. Only unlock doors. Her mother had told her that as soon as the knife came in contact with blood, the blade of it would snap, because it was only made for lock picking, not murdering.

"Hmm... if that is so... then I guess I would perhaps be able to use this knife as a way to unlock the hatch doors? Then this would stay with me, underneath my skin forever, making it easier for me to hide it from humans!" Adrenaline rushed through her, making her feel giddy all at once as she spun multiple times on her heels. She was impatient to see if her theory was correct or not, because there was no reason for it to not be. She picked up her pace to a run as she put the key back into her pocket. Soon enough, she eventually neared a branching path that led to her left and continued from there, running and smirking until she came to a dead end, with a wooden hatch above her head labeled in gold from the inside, "The hatch nearest to Shizuo's house." She put down the bags onto the dirty, murky ground as she then extended her pocket knife from underneath the skin of her palm and used her fingers to capture it. She then gently put the knife in the key hole and turned it.
