Chapter 04 - The Crazy Heart

Yibo had only been a student at Keno Academy for a week when he and all the other students were on campus together enjoying the fresh air during a break and suddenly all hell broke loose, or something like that. Yibo and his group, now divided into 5 groups of four for better training and teaching, had been dance training for four hours and were sweaty and exhausted. This break in the fresh air was really good.

But from one moment to the next, the relaxed mood among the students of all four grades was tense when two second-year students suddenly started arguing loudly about which of the two young women was better at dancing. All eyes were on both of them and Yibo noticed a change in the other students who suddenly began to extend and stretch. But, he didn't understand why at first until one of the coaches loudly "Dance Battle!" Shouted and the students stood around the fighting women demanding that they duel.

One of the two women began grinning with some dance moves Yibo knew from a music video and the other parried easily with another dance. They kept increasing the difficulty and then the other students joined in the battle. No matter in which category, they all found themselves in the middle of the big group at some point and showed what they could do.

One of the coaches filmed everything with his cell phone, but they didn't realize that he was broadcasting it live on the Internet. When it was the first-year students' turn, Seungyoun went into the middle and danced against a third-year student. After that, someone from the second year went into the middle and challenged to a rap battle. Just the thing for Yibo, who accepted the challenge and even won! Even though it was truly a close victory.

In this way, as the students challenged each other in a friendly and fun way and competed against each other in battles, the break passed very quickly. But, the fight between the two young women was over after this break and everyone went back to their training or classes with a smile.

A battle like this happened almost every day from then on. Whether it was during a big break or in the evening at the community center, they competed against each other in battles, challenging each other and encouraging each other to try even harder. Yibo had read about this before and couldn't wait to participate in one of these battles. That these battles take place almost every day and for the most different reasons, he had not guessed. But he found that even better.

Beside the many training, the lessons, learning and the Battles, Yibo had not much spare time. But the free time he did have, he recently spent on a very special routine. Finding out more about Xiao Zhan!

Unfortunately, the videos were of rather poor quality and often Yibo could not understand anything because all the surrounding noise was just too loud, but still he watched the videos again and again.

On one of the social network accounts where Xiao Zhan was particularly active and shared a lot publicly, Yibo even followed him and gave a Like to everything the handsome singer posted there. Even all the old stuff of his. Yibo went all the way back to Xiao Zhan's very first post and clicked his Like button to the most recent post. Since he didn't use his real name himself, but called himself Racer85 there, and also didn't use a picture of himself, only of one of his motorcycle helmets, he didn't worry that Xiao Zhan might find out he was behind it when he visits the Keno Academy.
