Chapter 30 - Yibo reveals himself

When Zhan entered the campus, he was looking forward to one thing above all, finally seeing Yibo again. In the past days when he couldn't see him because of his work, he just missed him terribly. That's why he drove to the academy in the morning as fast as he could and wanted to surprise Yibo with the fact that he was already there and not just in the evening as he had told Yibo before.

But Zhan had not yet taken a hundred steps on campus when Yibo spotted him. Calling his name loudly, Yibo came running toward him. "ZhanZhan." He shouted so loudly that it probably must have been heard a hundred meters away. If not even farther.

Zhan was very happy about this. He spread his arms and shouted, "My Yibo."

Yibo ran as fast as he could and almost jumped into Zhan's arms. They hugged each other as if they had not seen each other for a year, not 5 days. And because they missed each other so much and loved each other so much, they forgot everything around them and kissed each other, making their relationship public in front of all the other students who were also on campus right now.

Startled, they both pulled up and jumped apart as cheers and clapping could be heard. A few, however, just looked at them shaking their heads, but Yibo and Zhan didn't care. Because almost all the students were obviously happy for them. "You guys fit together great." Emily called out to them. Yibo's cheeks were all red, Zhan grinned, pulled Yibo back to him and put his arms around him.

"We'll talk later okay? Right now I need to have Yibo to myself for now." Said Zhan as the students came up to them and wanted to ask him about his mission. They also wanted to know how he became an agent, when and how long his training lasts.

"I'll tell you." Said Cheng, who also just arrived. He was accompanied by Yibo's brother. They came to the campus hand in hand, which immediately caused another commotion and joy among the students. And while Cheng was being questioned by the students, Yibo and Zhan sneaked away.

When the two were in their dorm room, Yibo had meanwhile moved back into the room, Zhan told him what his boss told him about his parents. That it was not an accident, but intentional. And that the boss ordered the Milan Mafia to kill his parents and make it look like an accident.

Yibo was shocked when he heard that. "My God, this is really terrible. How do you feel?" He was honestly worried about Zhan.

"I'm fine. Somehow I guess I always suspected it. So, that it wasn't an accident." Replied Zhan thoughtfully.

"Why didn't they tell you sooner?"

"Because my boss wouldn't be allowed to, and my adoptive parents don't know."

"Really bad."

"Mn."

"You must be glad it was you who arrested him."

"How do you know..."

"My uncle told me it was you who handcuffed him. He was waiting for Alessia, I believe, along with his wife. But instead of Alessia, you and Cheng and some other agents came."

"You're really well informed."

"I am. Are you relieved now that he's behind bars?"

"Yes. And I'm also glad my boss didn't tell me until after the arrest."

"Why? Would you have killed him otherwise?"

"Who knows. Maybe."

"Mhhh, I don't think so. You're a good agent and you wouldn't have killed him. I'm sure of it."

"But let's not get into that for now. I hear you're going into agent training?"

"Yes. I'm starting dual training as early as Monday."
