Kiss

I jogged down the road, hoping that no one will get in my way and try to stop me... just trying to reach the 7 minute walk as fast as I possibly could...I felt like I could just see Nico leaving... I really, Really liked this guy!

I made it in two minutes, panting, sweaty and probably looking really disgusting! I entered the opening gate to the park and started to fix myself up a bit, straightening my jacket, pulling up my jeans and pushing my hair to one side.

As I walked down, I could make out a silhoutte and a white jacket... someone was sitting by the little stone steps! Nico! My heart started to race, and I just hoped I didn't look too much like an idiot! I walked up behind him, he was on his blackberry, and so didn't see me untill I popped up behind him my head cocked to one side adoringly.

"Hey.." I trailed off "Sorry I'm a bit late, parents took ages, kids... ugh.." I sruggled, even after all this time the guy still manages to make me stutter!

"S'okay, how are you princess?" He asked, his voice showing concern

"I'm awesome... Where you gonna leave?" I asked, curious to see how long he'd wait for me

"I would've sat here for the rest of the day if I had to!" He smiled cheekily

"Aww!" I said and he pulled me in for a hug.

We did what we usually do, go for walks,talk and be ourselves... I was actually kind of nervous, as I'd figured out that today was the day I was gonna have my first kiss. It was quiet blatantly obvious, as I wanted for it to happen myself, but it's just the nerves and not knowing.

We carried on talking, he was telling me about how he's uploading covers to songs with his band, but I started to feel a little restless, knowing that it'll happen soon made my belly full of butterflies and my palms sweaty.

Thank god he's not holding my hand! I thought to myself, reminding my nerves system that his hand was resting lightly on my shoulder. Protective almost.

All of a sudden it started to pour down heavily, water in every direction I could see, I didn't understand why but it made me laugh out loud and as I looked over to Nico, he was looking at me with such love, compassion and curiousity in his eyes... It wove a wall of tension surrounding us, it was so strong, protecting us from the outside world.

I could only see him, I could feel an attraction to come closer to him... I grabbed his arm and started to make my way down towards the fallen tree.

I heard him take a sharp intake of air, as I silently egged myself on: Come on! You're gonna do it, and there's nothing to worry about.... you won't embarass yourself this time! I looked back at Nico's soft brown eyes and smiled at him, he cocked his head to the side and gave me a beaming smile which just encouraged me.

When we got to the fallen tree, under all of the leaves and greenery we had some sort of shelter over the rain, it was getting colder so I moved closer to him and he pulled me in for a hug, I placed my arms onto his neck and wrapped them around. His hands were at my waist comfotably, making my the butterflies in my belly to fly.

We placed our foreheads together and looked into each others eyes... searching, examining and seeing each other in ways other people can't... I felt loved. I felt treasured. It felt amazing!

We stayed this way, my feelings going crazy and my mind going overboard, imagining scenarios where things go wrong, questions constantly popping up in my head, probing. Stupid worries, whether my breath stinks, whether I'll do it wrong or whatever...

I was working myself up into a state when surprising myself I almost whispered to Nico

"You gonna kiss me or what?" I cocked my head, smiled cheekily whilst he grinned like a little boy, shrugged...closed his eyes...and leaned in.

My instincts then took over, my head leaned the other way, and our lips met. Passionate and gentle, not probing or  greedy. Relief flowed through me, I was so surprised but chuffed that it was finally happening...

Our lips met. Our tongues touched. It didn't feel wrong... it felt right, it felt perfect! His hands stayed at my waist, mine at his neck, messing with the back of his hair when a drop of water landed right between our faces!

We laughed whilst kissing. Together. His laughter made my heart swell, and nothing had made me so happy before...

When we pulled apart, his face held a huge grin and his eyebrow was raised.

"Didn't think you'd go for tongue on our first kiss" He said, surprising me and nearly making me laugh

I played it cool, controlling my features and smiled "I like to try new things"

His grin turned into a full smile and he pulled me in once again, this kiss more wanting and free as his hands slid up my back and enwitted into my hair.

We pulled apart and started to walk towards the gate, the atmosphere immediately changing to a complete fairytale, our body language so completely comfortable and willing to give everything for each other...

Is this what love is? Because I wanted it to last forever...

I'm sorry if the first kiss part was too detailed, I was monitoring the words I used very closely, just in case it came out sounding wrong XD
