All the way to my aunt's house I tried not to step on any cracks and kept wondering about Nico and if he would ever like me, I mean, I'm not a terrible person (I hope not! I have enough friends, so maybe I'm very nice.. ha! me? nice? I'm cheeky! not nice, maybe cute but definitely cheeky!) But what if Nico doesn't see beneath my wierd bridge, my wierdly long hair and terrible feet? What if he doesn't see me? Monika. The crazily wierd, yet amazing person inside? The one who you would never get bored being around? I need to stop being so vain...
"Calm down. Everything will be okay!" Kate rolled her eyes at me.
"Huh?! How did you know what I was thinking about? Gosh... this is getting really wierd... OMG! You can read my thoughts! Arghhh! Ok, what am I thinking about now?" I asked.
"Errr... shoes?"
"NO WAY! How did you know?!" I screamed
"Reallly?!" she gasped
"Nope! HAHA! I was just thinking about Gina..." My voice suddenly dropped low into an angry husk.
"Uh Oh... beep, beep, beep!" She started screaching like a fire engine.
"What are you doing?!"
"Beep, beep, beep! Back it up bitch!Ain't nobody got time for that?! You shouldn't be thinking about her! You should be thinking about how you're going to, you know... er, do whatever to Nico!"
She was right. I shouldn't be thinking about Gina unless she's in my way... Damn! Kate's becoming too right. I need for her to be wrong sometime!
"Because of your great advice, I will totally ignore the fact that you just called me a bitch!" I play slapped her.
Of course, she slapped me back and it went on like this for the next few minutes untill we resumed to walking like the proper ladies we should be... Untill a car drove past and beeped!! We both ffell into hysterics because of Kate's previous beeping!
"I like the new you" Kate said out of the blue as soon as we stopped laughing.
"Pardon..? I don't think I follow" I said in a posh voice which made us laugh again.
"You're so much more energetic and fun and just HAPPY now!" she smiled a broad smile.
that is so true. I guess it's just maybe how a guy can make you feel...
"I like the new me too!" I said as we crossed the corner to my aunts house where right in front of my eyes, on the metal fence, Nico sat. Staring directly at me.
