I felt my heartbeat quicken for a different reason this time....
It was Auntie Ausra's car.
I had a feeling that I had been caught. That this was it.... I quickly plastered a fake smile on my face and ran down the small of the hill towards the car; I peered in and smiled. My aunt, her husband, Kate and her parents were sat in the car...
"Kate!" I squeled "I've missed you soo much!"
"Where was you? We just came back to get all of my things and you weren't there... " Kate frowned.
"Oh..." I stuttered, my mind started buzzing with available explanantions "I was up the field. With Coral"
"No you wasn't... I went up there to check for you..." Damn! That girl needed to hush!
"I went 'round everywhere... I'm sorry..." I sighed
"Well where've you been?" My aunt Ausra chipped in
Daaammnn.... "Uh, I just came around to see Kate as well! I was down by yours when I realised that no one was in..So, I , Uh,decided to go home as... you know... Mom..."I trailed off, knowing that the relationship between this side of the family and mine was hanging by a thread.
"But Gina was inside.." Aunt Ausra frowned, her thoughts deep in concentration.
"I know, but she didn't see me... I was just coming home..." I felt so bad for having to lie so much, but I knew what would happen if I didn't. And I really really liked Nico.
"Are you sure Kate can't stay?" I asked, changing tactics.
"I'm sorry, I'd just feel a lot more comfortable having my girl around her mom" Kate's mom said apologetically.
I don't mind her, honestly, I don't but I just hate it when she tries to act all fake because we both know that the only reason Kate can't stay with us is because Aunt Ausra had bitched all sorts of shit about my family.... Nice relation, huh?
"Well, you'd better get home quick, your mom's been looking for you" Aunt Ausra said as the car began to rejoin the traffic congestion.
The smile completely vanished from my face as soon as the car had driven off. Oh crap! Mom's waiting for me... urgh! I was actually more depressed about the fact that this wonderful day had to come to such a terrible ending than I was that I had to go home and probably face my parents.
Though I never regretted that day. How could I? It was the most thrilling, adventurous and magical moment of my life, and I loved every second of it. I replayed the kisses over in my mind... It brought a smile to my face.
I reckon it was well-worth the wait and my screw-ups...

I walked into my house, as the door had been unlocked. Took off my shoes, took a deep breath and casually strolled into the living room where my mom was sitting practising her 'Theory' test (She'd been trying to pass, apparantly wants to learn how to drive).
She seemed pretty cool and mellow so I just sat down and murmured 'hey' unable to keep the happy edge out of my voice.
"Where you been? Kate had come to collect herstuff and you weren't here" My mom. Straight to the point.
"I was on the field with Coral" I said and casually turned the t.v on.
"Kate said she checked on the field..." She said, listening more to the questions on the test than she was to my answers
"Naa... I was everywhere, anyways, have you passed any yet?" I diverted the subject yet again. Dmn, I was getting good at this...and I was going to hell for so much lying...
"Two. One 49 out of 50. Other 47 out of 50" She replied, looking quiet chuffed with herself
"Wow! I don't get why you just don't go and do the test today! You need 43 out of 50 to pass..." I encouraged her, sucking up...yup, I'm the queen of sucking up.
"Will do soon..." She replied, engaged in the questions again
"Kay, I'm going outside, to meet Coral" I said as I got up
"Stay round here, don'tgo off again"
"Okay"
Yes! I'm off the hook! Hallelujah!
