Our Band

The first two days of school were amazeballs! (Yes, it's aword that I made up because I'm weird like that!) We spent our break and lunchtimes jamming in the music room; expressing our passion for music, and randomly playing around. Faye was on drums, beating out the 'hannah montanna' theme tune beat, Mya and Maddison were on accoustic, doing 'pumped up kicks' whilst I was on piano, playing 'fur elise' and Zoe and Kendall were just singing 'how to love' by lil wayne.

It's funny how we were all doing something so completely different; different styles and genres of music, but when we put it together, it just defines us in a way other subjects can't!

"Hey, Faye, Give me a beat!" I yelled over the top of all the noise

"Ok" She started to beat out a snare, rider, bass,bass over and over (see I remembered the names!haha)

I kind of singnalled with my hands for the others to hush, whilst we listened to the beat. Mya started playing three chords: E,G and Am. Maddison joined in with a melody, using all of the notes she could possibly stretch her fingers to. I was feeling it by now and nodding my head wildly, and I started to play the same chords as Mya but on the piano.

"Naaa, nanan! Uh! Yeah! Hey! Here we go now" I sang

"Drum it, drum it, baby I'mma move it! Strum it, strum it, this is how you do it! Sing it sing it-" I was cut off by Zoe and Kendall

"This is how we make it come aliive!" They sang in perfect harmony

It went on like this, totally made up on the spot, with intervals where we improvise and made it work! I felt truly free, and not to mention extremely happy! When we finnished with final drum overload, we all clapped and cheered because, let's face it, we knew we had talent, but we never thought it was this good!

"Wooow!" Zoe breathed

"You said it chica" Kendall added

"We need to do something with this! We have talent! I mean, not many people can just do this straight off without any preparation, planning, co-ordination..." I trailed off, completely speechless

"We will do something with this! I know! Lets make a band!" Faye exclaimed

"That's a great idea!" Mya chirped in

"Yeah" We all chorused, then fell into a burst of giggles

"Sooo... what should we be called?" I asked, feeling bad at the sight of their faces drop

"Hmmmm" Kendall hummed out loud

RIIIIINGGG!RIIIIIINNGG!!

"Okay, we've got History next, we'll make a list of names that we like and then decide! Simple" I said as we made our way towards the History classroom.

I felt so happy and motivated that I felt a song coming on, not a sad and depressing song, like I usually write; but a real, cheerful and 'make you feel  good' jazzy song! Nothing could be better in my life... school was getting awesomer by the minute... Nico and I may become an item... And everything was beautiful...

I sighed and follwed my girls cheerful into the classroom...

Sorry 'bout the weird song, but in all honesty that's how I get my best ideas! Honestly, if you can imagine a good beat, a tune and a couple of chords, then you've got a song! But it'll most likely be very RnB or Jazzy... Hmmm... reminds me of Cher Lloyd for some reason! HAHAH! oH WELL! Music is my passion!

If you haven't realised by now, I'm really weird. Just gonna let you know.... :)
