'You almost made me forget...'

"C'mon!" Nico said suddenly and grabbed my arm and began to run somewhere.

"Where are we going?" I asked

"I dunno..." He said then suddenly stopped running, making me nearly crash into his back. "I just figured you needed to run... to get away from it all." He finnished

"How d'you know?" I asked, astonished that he knew exactly how I felt

"Trust me. I know"

"Wonderboy, you are a mystery to me" I said and sprang forward, this time dragging him along.

We kept running, and emerged in a field somwhere, I ran freely, for a moment forgetting my loss... just, living in the moment. I noticed a huge green building. I stopped, and looked at it curiously untill it dawned on me that it was my school! I didn't realise that the park led all the way to my school!

I burst out laughing at the irony of it. Unable to control myself, having the sudden flashback of getting the lead role in 'Cinderella' the play I auditioned for in school... I remember that strange monday morning, walking into the form room, and Maddison running up to me and hugging me tightly, screaming in my ear. 'What?! wHAT?! I asked, and when she told me I got the role, well... let's just say a teacher walked into our form and told us to shut up. I remember running all the way to the studio, to see the cast list... seeing my name right at the top...

I smiled. It was a sad smile, but a smile nonetheless.

"Hey, what you smiling at?" Nico whispered in my ear, his breath warm on my skin.

"Nothing... you know that's my school" I laughed

"Ohh... hahah,.. awkward!" He laughed with me.

He gently picked up my hand and led me across to where a tree was, he climbed up it then I followed. We sat there, talking and doing anything to get my mind of.. but it wasn't working too well. Every sentence or two reminded me of my uncle...

I guess Nico understood, so he suggested that we kept walking, I agreed, of course not wanting to cry again. I'm not the crying/emotional type. I'm more...well, trying to appear cool type.

We ran up to the long grass again, as I was wearing a skirt and some knee-lenght leggings, the grass kept tickling my legs and it was getting irritating, Nico noticed this and offered me a piggy-back.

"Why not?" I smiled and jumped onto his back

"Dayum girl, you weigh a lot more than you look!" He laughed

We got back to the stream somehow, I didn't even realise. Nico found a bench for us to sit on, so we sat. And talked... He told me secrets-which I will not reveal because they're secrets- and I told him some of mine. We were heart-to-heart.

He took my pink scarf of and wrapped it around the two of us, somehow managing to pull me onto his lap at the same time. It didn't feel weird or anything, it just felt very casual, and he tied the scarf and whispered "You're mine,,,"

I laughed and whispered back "And you're mine..."

We kissed. It was the perfect moment, I couldn't help but flutter my eyelids and see that his eyes were always closed, it was a good sign and from then on, my eyes stayed closed. I think at that precise moment I thought I loved him.

He stood up and carried my along with him, our lips still enwitted in the kiss and he bagan to walk! I started to squirm in his grasp, afraid that we'd actually fall down the stream as he couldn't see where we were going! He laughed and put me down.

I smiled and cocked my head to the side. He raised his eyebrow at me. I had a sudden brainwave and turned my back to him, slapped my ass and yelled 'This baby's mine!' and began to run. Knowing that he'll come chasing after me, I laughed at the sudden rush of adrenaline in me.

He soon caught up to me and slapped my ass. "Ah! How rude!" I yelled but kissed him.

"I should do that more often if I get kisses in return!" He smirked, looking as boyish as ever!

"Pfft!" I smiled as we reached a shallow part of the stream "I know! Okay, bad boy, If you think you're all that... jump! I dare you to jump across!"  I laughed

"I just bought these new chinos..."

"Chicken! You aint strong enough! Hahah!" I laughed, egging him on

" I am! I have a six pack!" He protested, looking like little benny.

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes

"I do! Look!" He said and lifted his shirt to reveal a nicely tones six-pack.

"Fine. But you're still a chicken. I'mma do it. Watch!" I boasted, walked back a couple of paces and jumped.

Luckily for me, I made it, a bit of an ungraceful landing but I made it!

"Okay, buh-bye..." I said and started to saunter off

"Waaiit! If I jump, do I get a kiss?" He asked cheekily

"Hmm... that is such a tempting offer..." I said, laughing at the sight of his face "Deal" I added

He ran back and jumped... Landing perfectly a couple of steps behind me. I turned and started to walk away slowly, intentionally.

"Hey! Keep your end of the bargain!" He whined and walked up behind me, turning me around in a single motion and kissed me.

My head reeled, this kiss was so powerful. I love you, my mind said.

"Thank you... You almost made me forget, even for a short time... you made me forget" I said as we pulled apart.

My heart swelled for this new raw emotion I had found for this cheeky,creative and attractive man...
