EXCON IN DANGER

"Ano pa hinihintay n'yo? Let's save that shitty prince!" sabi ko.
"Sandali!" pagpigil ni Eris. "Tama si Keifer. Going there is another to-die mission."
Die or die mission, indeed. Dahil kung hindi namin maligtas si Prince Kaleb, mamamatay kami sa kamay ng reyna. Kung pupunta naman kami sa Ice Cave, mamamatay naman kami sa kamay ng maraming bloodsuckers.
"So ano balak n'yo? Hintayin mamatay si Prince Kaleb at susunod din tayo?" sabi ni Oxy.
I know Oxy is a rational person. But, I can't blame him for acting like this. Time here is a huge factor. Prince Kaleb could die anytime if we do not move.
"Hindi gano'n, Oxy, Masyadong delikado kapag pumunta tayong lima doon," sabi ni Eris.
Totoo naman. Delikadong pumunta sa Ice Cave. But once Prince Kaleb dies, our safety will not be assured either.
"Natalia, did you see anything dangerous out there?" tanong ni Oxy kay Natalia.
Umiling naman sa Natalia.
"How about Prince Kaleb's situation? Malala na 'di ba?" tanong pa niya.
Tumango si Natalia, "Malala na ang kalagayan niya."
"See? That's why we should go there ASAP to rescue him or else..."
"Oxy, alam kong natatakot ka na but as the team leader, I cannot take the risk. Baka tayong lima ang unang mamatay 'pag naka-engkwentro tayo ng sandamakmak na bloodsuckers. We almost couldn't make it through when we encountered a little number of bloodsuckers. How much more if we encounter more of them?" pag-explain ni Eris.
"That's why we need back-ups. We need more people before going there. At least we will increase the possibility of not dying," suggestion ni Keifer.
Napahawak na lang si Oxy sa likod ng kaniyang ulo. "Pero paano si Prince..."
"What if ganito na lang," sabi ni Natalia. "Maghati tayo sa dalawang grupo. Ang isang grupo, pupunta sa base para humingi ng tulong at ang isa naman ay mauuna na sa Cave?"
"I agree!" kaagad na sigaw ni Oxy.
"Me, too," pagsang-ayon ko rin.
Nagtinginan si Eris at Keifer. Tumagal ito ng ilang saglit bago tumango si Eris. "Fine," sabi niya. "But only one will go to the base to ask for back up and the rest will go to the Cave."
"Sino naman ang isa sa'tin na pupunta sa base?" tanong ko.
"Sino pa ba? E'di ikaw!" sabi ni Natalia.
"You gotta be kidding me," pag-iling ko.
Inakbayan na lang ako bigla ni Keifer. "No, man. Sa ating lima, ikaw ang pinakamabilis. You can go there the fastest."
"You got wings, bro! You can go there faster than me!" dipensa ko.
Umiling lang si Keifer. "Remember the 'rule of travelling'? 'No flying', that's why I can't be the one to go there."
Napabuga na lang ako ng hangin. "Okay, fine!" Eh pa'no naman kayo? Will you be okay?"
"Nandito naman ako at si Keifer. We can protect them if ever happens. Don't worry. We will be fine," sabi ni Eris.
Biglang lumayo si Keifer mula sa pagkakaakbay niya sa'kin. "Wait, you are not the type of person that worries, Xian. What's this? You're giving me goosebumps!" sabi pa niya at hinimas-himas pa ang kaniyang braso.
