A/N:

THIS IS A LUKE POV!

Enjoy it :)

'Alright one song, that's all you're going to get' I said, smiling as Ivy scrolled through my playlist.

We were in the car on our way to Kaikoura.

We'd spent the entire day walking around Picton, the place we arrived when we got off the boat yesterday.

By now, it was 10pm, and we had decided to stay the night in a hotel in Kaikoura and continue driving tomorrow morning.

It was either that, or Ivy refused to get in the car with me.

You can say whatever you want about her but she really wasn't stupid.

She didn't want to get in the car because she knew I didn't sleep very well last night, again, and she thought it would be dangerous to drive that far.

Which she was right about because, obviously, driving when you're tired could be dangerous, but I wouldn't even let her in the car if I felt like I couldn't handle this.

'I don't know which one to pick' Ivy said, looking up from my phone.

'Just pick the first one you see' I said, turning down the volume of the radio.

'But what if I pick the wrong one?'

I smiled 'Then you pick another one'

'But you said "Only one"'

'Yeah but it's not like you were going to listen to that in the first place'

Ivy smiled 'You're right about that' she said, and then clicked on the first song she saw.

After a few seconds I recognized it as long way home and I smiled.

She put my phone in her lap and rested her head against the window, taking in the song as much as she could.

I felt my heart start to raise as I waited for her to say something.

She might not realize it, but her opinion mattered a lot to me and I was scared she wouldn't like it.

I looked at her as she closed her eyes, a small smile spreading across her face.

Her smile stayed until the song ended and she looked at me, not bothering to pause my playlist as it started playing English love affair.

'I liked that' she said as she looked at me, unconsciously licking her lips.

I looked at her and sighed 'I have to admit for a minute I thought you weren't going to like it' I said, focussing back on the road.

'What made you think that?' she asked.

'I don't know, I was just scared you wouldn't'

'What would you have done if I didn't like it?' I could hear the smile in her voice and only that, was enough to make me smile as well.

'I would've either brainwashed you until you did like it or I would've cried' I said.

She laughed. 'In that case I changed my mind, I don't think I like it very much after all'

I smiled, if I wouldn't have been driving I would've taken my phone out of her hands and turned long way home back on while fake crying.

I turned a corner and drove onto a parking lot, parking the car as close to the hotel as possible.

Ivy turned the music off, and we both got out of the car, quickly stuffing some clothes in the bag before going inside the hotel.

I quickly got us a room and we walked upstairs, unlocking the door once we found the right one and immediately falling down on the bed.

It was starting to become some kind of tradition.

The first thing we did every time we got to a new hotel, was lay down on the bed and stare at the ceiling.

I looked at Ivy who was staring at the ceiling as I expected her too.

I really needed to tell her what was on my mind. She had something to do with it after all, so she deserved to know.

And I promised I would tell her.

I couldn't even think the words, how was I supposed to say them to her?

I sighed and sat up on my elbows.

It was too late to tell her now anyway. She wouldn't want to hear me say this when she was tired.

She probably doesn't want to hear me say it at all, but I did have to tell her eventually.

'What are you thinking about?' Ivy asked, poking my arm.

I looked at her and shook my head. 'Nothing for you to worry about' I said, turning around and pressing a kiss against her lips.

A/N:

I've written until chapter 78 right now, and I've figured everything out and this story is not going to have more than 85 chapters (minus the epilogue)

and that makes me sad but I'm trying to finish this story so that I can figure out if maybe I can write the sequel.

I'm really hoping I can come up with some interesting plots because I've figured out a title and a cover already (oops) but I don't really have a plot yet...and I'm not going to write a sequel if I don't have a plot.

So if any of you have some cool ideas you'd like to share, please comment them or send me a message! This is a very long authors note...I'm sorry hahaa
