I woke up to the burning sensation crawling up my throat a feeling I was getting accustomed to but that didnt stop my eyes from watering. I ran into the bathroom ignoring Kayleigh who was brushing her teeth. She looked at me with a smug smile

Bitch

"You're pregnant" she stated. My mouth flew open, had someone told her?

"What?" I asked dumbly

"Nothing" she whistled then walked over to the bathroom door I yanked her back by her blouse

"How...how did you know?" I asked shakily, gripping her shirt tightly

"Maybe your brothers should be quieter next time" she said tilting he head to the side looking at me with mock pity

"Don't tell anyone" I demanded staring into her dark devious eyes

"I won't tell anyone" she said her eyebrow rose as she smirked "if.."

"If what?" I asked through grifted teeth

"If you do whatever I say...for the whole day" she said

"Bit-" I began to say until she started walking away "It's stupid and childish but fine" I said her smirk turn to a full on evil grin she flipped her honey blonde hair over her should and left the room

I've just made a deal with the devil

After rinsing my mouth my feet absentmindedly carried me to the kitchen. Mountains and mountains of pancakes where placed on a plate as delicious as it looked I wasn't feeling it. I took a seat in the den that was behind the island and held a miniature dining table where a few people were seated. It has been 6 days since Christmas and all the older teenagers were sat at the island talking among themselves. Poor Halle she was the only girl in the group. Her grey eyes reminded me of grandpas, the way you could read her like a book and look into her soul when she looked at you

"Hmm I'm feeling mighty hungry, why dont you serve me breakfast Tiffany" kayleighs annoying voice rang out exaggerating every word

"But-"I started the interrupted me with a glare. How am I letting an annoying thirteen year old dominate ME?

Grumpily I grabbed a plate and served her 3 pancakes everyone shooting me looks of curiosity. Ha me under the control of a bitchy thirteen year old not something you see everyday, enjoy it while you can cause it wont ever happen again

I purposely pushed her plate roughly to her letting the edge hit her stomach. She gave me a tight smile before demanding me to "get me some juice" then walking away towards the miniature dining table that was placed near the tall glass windows

I nodded submissively then stomped to the refrigerator and grabbed the orange juice. Before anyone could see I spit in the cup before pouring the orange juice. I served it to her with a tight smile. The teenagers have been quiet through the whole exchange watching my every move with green and blue and hazel eyes. I plopped down on the leather L shaped couch and stared at the blaring fireplace infront of me. Briefly I glanced at Kayleigh who threw me a snide smirk and drank up

Summer who was by the door way made herself known, her ten year old self sat down on the spot next to me. Her platinum blonde hair was pulled into a messy bun as she stared at me with blue and green eyes. She was the only one, besides me and my brother to have mixed eyes. While hers where blue/green ours where green/brown thanks to our father who held the same hazel eyes

"What was that about?" She asked her morning breath hit me like a ton of bricks causing me to shuffle back slightly. I ignored her question and asked on of my own

"did you brush your teeth?" I asked

She nodded her head with a bright smile on her face. I pushed her off the couch and said "go brush it again" with that she scurried up to the second floor. Deciding to do the smart thing and get away from Kayleigh before she commands me to do anything else I walk out of the room and disappeared for while

I looked at my phone, no texts from Aiden yet, somehow I was still hoping he would send a Merry Christmas text yet he never did

I sat in the room staring at my phone, waiting and waiting and hoping

Dinner came and I changed into a light turquoise colored dress my mother had picked out. The dress was simple sheath style dress that stopped below my bum, with silver bejeweled bridal flats. I tied my hair into a simple half up, half down style. Snowflake earring adorned my ears, and a silver heart shaped necklace laid on my chest. I bet I could sell these too

I left the room and made my way down to the dining room. Everyone was already seated

I took a seat between my brothers and infront of Winter. All the families where sat together me with my brother and mom near the far end. Uncle Isaac and his wife Anastasia with their three kids: Alec, Winter and Summer. On their left was our youngest aunt Auntie Bryanne and her 2 boys 9 year old Gabriel and 4 year old Nicholas or Nick for short. On their right was the devils themselves. The Darkmore's, even their name sounded evil. Aunt jenna took on the last name after marrying Abraham. The devils have 4 children. Halle, then theres Kayleigh who follows in her mothers footsteps, Lilly and Bryce who are too young to understand the tension

"Tanner's almost done with college, after that he's going straight to medical school" my mom said. She twisted the fork in the air exaggerating her point her grey eyes rolled around her head and the looses curls from her updo moved with her.

And the bragging begins

Tanner who sat on my left had an irritated look on his face. We all knew where this was headed

"Well that's very good" My grandma said

Jenna pretended to seem interested offering my mom a fake smile "yea that's great, you know Halle is in her in her first year of Law school" she moved the glass cup in her hand letting little spills of wine get on the wooden table. Grandma repeated the same process with her

My mom hummed along nodded her head "yea well after Trent finishes highschool he's going to begin his career as a dentist" the annoying fork still moving around in her hand

"Kayleigh is going to work as an OB/GYN, did you know that? What is Tiffany going to do?" Jenna said taking a sup of her wine. Kayleigh snorted from beside Halle

"I can practice on Tiffany" Kayleigh inputted taking a bite of her food stuffing her mouth with spaghetti "in a few months"

My heart stopped, then it started again faster than before. Thump thump thump with every agonizing second my heartbeat grew louder. The silence was deafening. I held onto my breath in hopes the ground would swallow me up just to escape the tension

I gained the courage to look up and like a domino affect everyone started eyeing my stomach. I couldn't bear their scrutinizing gaze so self conciously I wrapped my arms around my belly

Eyes of all colours turned to my face awaiting my reaction, hoping I would call her out in her lie. But the thing is she's not lying
