Ch 3

I took a seat on the charcoal colored couch that adorned my oldest brothers living room, his hair was much like Trents if Trent actually combed and brushed his hair

He leaned down to embrace me before saying "So Trent told me you have something to say"

He released form from his ink infested arms and eyed me awaiting a response, both of my brothers watched me with expecting eyes

I pulled back confused and look at Trent who looked at me then to Tanner as if saying 'tell him'

My palms became sweaty, knees weak, arms are are heavy, something about spaghetti...nevermind that

My eyes flickered to the floor, to Tanner then to Trent, this pattern repeated until Tanner patted my back reassuringly while I cursed him 300 million times in my head. I'm not a wuss, I cleared my throat and looked down at my nervous fidgeting hands and muttered "I'm pregnant"

Tanner leaned in closer "what?" He asked his face scrunching up oddly

I repeated the statement once again not bothering to change my tone, if he wanted to hear me he would listen harder

"I.can't.hear.you" Tanner said loudly stopping after every word. I could see Trent's irritation grow from bee hind him. Boys suck

"She said she's fucking pregnant" Trent yelled out in frustration. I jumped in my seat, then my heart jumped in my chest

It's out

I watched as Tanners face transformed from shock to anger in less than a milli second. He shot up and faced me with a clenched jaw and fist quickly changing into a white color. The anger radiated off him in large waves and crashed into me as I stared back at him with wide eyes

"By who?" Tanner asked though gritted teeth

"No one you know" I replied and crossed my arms, he's in my business

"Jessica's younger brother, Aiden" Trent answers spitting Aidens name like it was bitter

I always knew Trent was a snitch, but even this is low

Tanner looked confused before recognition settled in, remembering the not so secret physical relationship he once had with one of Aidens older sisters. After that his features became hard and rigid once again

"That mother-I'm going out" Tanner said

Oh so scary, what are you going to do? Write a letter ? I rolled my eyes

"Oh no, stop it Tanner nooo" I said sarcastically

He turned around red faced "I'm going to show that mother F how to use a condom"

"It's a little late for that don't you think?" Trent responded

"I'm going to write a letter" Tanner said. He paced back and fourth running his hand over his face again and again with frequent tugs here and there. "I'm writing a letter to do school, for not doing their job"

He screeched to a stop in front of me and asked "does mom know?" when I shook my head he continued his routine "of course!" I wouldn't be surprised if he left a rubber trail with all this pacing, he's losing about 100 calories right now. I debated joining him before deciding against it, the couch hugged my body too comfortably

The silence was deafening, but I wasn't going to be the one to break it

I heard keys before Tanners roommate, Caleb entered. His green eyes shot around the room before asking with a sheepish smile "well everyone seems to be in such a jolly mood, maybe a little too jolly for me, bad moment?" The negative energy was hard to miss

Tanner gave him a stiff nod causing Caleb to retreat back out

"What are you going to do?" Tanner asked as soon as the door closed

"We could tell mom" Trent input from beside me

"No. Are you stupid, dumb or both?" Tanner replied

"They're the same thing"

"She's gonna find out anyway" I whispered

"She won't accept it!" Tanner shouted "trust me" he murmured. The silence spread throughout the room all of our minds too preoccupied 

"You could abort it" Trent stupidly I may add put in. I looked at Tanner with a face of stupor assuming he would automatically oppose, but instead he stayed silent

"No " I breathed, I won't kill something that is half me and half of the person that I love and I think we could be great parents. Baby dolls were my favorite toys growing up

"We're just saying that's an option" Tanner added

"Ok but it's an option I won't consider...next"

"Just...just think about it"

I stayed silent, but opposed in my head

I will make a beautiful family with Aiden

A silence fell over the room before Trent snapped continuously as a small smile slowly grew on his face, you could practically see the light bulb turn on above his head then he finally spoke "Can't you move in with Tanner? didn't the last roommate move into a dorm last week?"

"Yeah" Tanner replied "but what about the diapers? Clothes? a Crib?" he asked. Me and Trent simultaneously groaned

I hope Aiden has money for that stuff

I slammed the car door closed and pulled the seat belt locking it in place while Trent started the car and pulled out the driveway

"Why are you wearing a jumper? It's like 80 degrees and you're not even showing yet" Trent stated facing the road "If you're really planning on keeping it, I would say you better take advantage of how you look now"

I wanted to roll my eyes and ignore him, but he might have had a point
