I woke up next to a snoring, drooling Trent. Small puffs flew out of his mouth making the hairs at the tip of my head move with every breath. I groggily sat up on the bed and pushed Trent roughly "wake up" I muttered. He got up slowly "I'll meet you outside" I said as I went into the rooms personal bathroom. My reflection was anything but beautiful. My mascara ran down my face, my eyes were puffy and my hair was greasy and messy

With a quick wash of my face and a rinse in my mouth I walked past the now empty room and down the marble steps pulling my hair into a ponytail

The sound of voices talking in the kitchen caught my attention but it's better to leave unnoticed especially looking like this

My hand clasped the door handle before I heard a voice behind me. I turned to see Aiden yelling into a phone

My whole body tensed

"I told you not to show anyone" he said before pausing to see me at the door, he turned to the direction of the staircase and ran up whispering furiously into his phone

Without hesitation I opened the door to see Trents car parked at the entrance. My feet quickly carried to his car and I leaned against it letting out a breath

"Let's go" he said speeding to our house

The door opened before I even reached the porch. My moms straightened blonde hair came into view, her face was covered in makeup but unlike it looking cakey it actually looked good

"Your clothes are in a bag on your bed" she said to us before returning to the living room with her phone pressed tightly to her ear

Me and Trent traded a eyeroll. Every Christmas my family would leave Massachusetts to go visit my grandma in New Jersey. An antagonizing 5 hours of awkward silence while my mom continuously tries to make conversation

On my bed stood a brown bag with the word 'Gucci' in golden letters. A small sigh left my mouth, I have no idea where my mom gets this money but I wasn't complaining

I neatly placed the clothes on my bed. It was a bright red colored cardigan that cost $1,301 at least that's what the price tag said, after that was a white cropped jumper that looked like a white tee shirt cut at the buttom and the sleeves cut slantly. The skirt was also white and it seemed to reach a few inches above my knees and green converse

My mom seemed to forget the weather during this time of year but anything to please grandma. I took a quick shower then straightened my hair, applied red lipstick to match with the cardigan and a layer of mascara

After pulling on my clothes on I sat on the couch in my mom's most prized room, the living room not expecting to see my oldest brother Tanner already there. His outfit seemed as expensive as mine, of course mom gave him money to buy it. She wanted to flaunt her money in her twins face like she does every other year

"Mom does know it's going to be 19 degrees right?" Tanner asked eyeing my outfit knowing that unlike him I had no choice in the matter

My face scrunched up and I shrugged my shoulders in response plopping down on the couch next to him

"Careful" he scolded me pointing towards my belly

I tried not to think about it too much. Moms perfect family image would be ruined, she would disown me to keep the image up and that was a fact. I forced the thought away and focused on something different

Trent came out through the bathroom door, his hair was slicked back with gel and just like the rest of us, his outfit cost more than my life

Mom came through the kitchen and ushered us out quickly, her heels clicked against the wooden floors, a familiar sound. I grabbed my jacket before we entered the grey minivan, the door automatically slid opened with a pull of the handle. The van was fit for eight people so with only four of us there was more than enough space. The back was the best option for us three, with experience I have to come to learn that whoever sat at the front would have to go through the most trouble of avoiding mom
