🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩TW: Violence.  Dear readers, I don't usually provide trigger warnings, but I've decided if there was ever a time for a warning, it is right now! There is descriptive violence throughout this chapter. If you are sensitive or triggered by violence, I suggest skipping this chapter and returning to our story when the next chapter is published.  Your mental well-being is important to me. Much love to you! 💜💜💜 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Namjoon's POV 🪴

When we step behind the stage, away from the eyes of the crowd, I take Lily in my arms and give her a huge hug, "You were amazing! Are you okay?"

This woman that was a complete professional onstage and instinctually saved our performance now stands before me, shaking all over while she takes a few deep breathes. Assistants rush around us, removing our gear, and apologizing.

"I will be. I just need a moment to breathe," she replies with a faint smile, happy to be relieved of the defunct ear pieces and our microphones. "We did it, Joon. We got through it," she utters.

"Lily, you were incredible!" Ari shares as she approaches, hugging Lily as we walk back towards our dressing rooms. Hearing Ari sound so sweet only digs into my heart deeper.

"Always, incredible!" an angry voice cuts in. "No matter what I do, this bitch always comes out on top!"

I'm taken aback, "Sung-Ho, that is no way to talk to Lily; you need to back off," I say, concerned.

Sung-Ho's face is red, and he looks like he is going to blow his top. "Back off, pfft," he scoffs.

"It doesn't matter what I do, I can strip away your backing track, and you still find a way to make the situation come out on top! You are going to be all over the headlines AGAIN!"

"You did this?" Ari asks, her voice quivering. "You sabotaged their performance?"

"Shut up, bitch! I wasn't talking to you!" Sung-Ho yells.

The color drains from Ari's face, and she takes a step back, it takes all of me not to reach out and pull her into my chest to make her feel protected, but alas, she is no longer mine to protect.

"Never again, Lily! You don't get to win ever again!" Sung-Ho declares.

Lily's POV 🌺

I can't believe what is happening; I'm still shaking from what occurred on stage, and just when I think my body will get a moment of solace, Sung-Ho shows up, acting completely unhinged. Never in my life did I think he would be the kind of man that would try and sabotage a performance. This is not the same kind man that I used to work for and who was nothing less than remorseful for having to let me go from his company. This man feels evil, and my brain flashes a memory of Minjun, and the warning bells start to go off inside my head.

No matter what, the alarm bells in my brain are warning me, my gut reaction takes over and the words are already falling out of my mouth before I can think, "Don't you dare ever talk to Ari like..." and before I can finish my sentence, Sung-Ho lunges towards me and I feel a searing pain slash through the side of my abdomen.

My mouth flies open as all the air rushes out of my lungs. The distinct feeling of a cold steel blade being plunged into my body violently causes my body to start caving. Arching forward, a scream tries to rip from my throat, but nothing comes but silence. My mouth hangs open in shock as the feeling of excruciating pain sears through my body, freezing me in place.

Screaming seems to come from all directions, but not from me, and the room starts to tunnel. Blackness fills my sight, and I feel myself disappearing.

No, God, please don't let it end like this!

"Lily!" I hear Ari scream, but it sounds like she's millions of miles away.

I try and reach out to grab her, but I'm not even sure if my limbs are moving as I try and suck in a breath - all I can do is try and choke out a whisper to her, and then everything goes black.

Ari's POV 🌸

The room breaks into complete chaos. Security is tackling Sung-Ho, and Namjoon jumps into action, landing under Lily, breaking her fall and keeping her head from slamming into the concrete floor. Without thinking, I lunge at Lily and try and cover her bleeding wound with my hands while screaming for medical help.

"Save her; I need someone to save her!" I'm screaming as I panic, covering my hands over her abdomen like I can keep her from bleeding out.

Lily's eyes are wide open, and the light in her eyes is flickering out. It's like she is frozen in place, her eyelids aren't even blinking anymore, and her trembling lips start to still; then I hear her exhale a ragged breath, and the word, "Yoongi...." escapes her mouth.

"No, no, no, no, we need help! We're losing her!" I'm screaming again, and then I hear Joon's voice.

"Don't you quit on us, Lily! We need you! Yoongi needs you!" he says sternly, "Damnit, I need you! Don't you dare quit on us!" he tells her like he can will her from slipping away.

Everything is a whirlwind as a medical team arrives and swarms Lily. They are flashing a light in her eyes, an oxygen mask is swiftly placed on her face, and they've pried me away. It feels like a slew of people are attending to her wound as she's being swept away to an awaiting ambulance in a frenzy.

"We'll pay anything, any amount!. Do whatever it takes! Save her!" I hear Joon repeatedly saying as he follows the stretcher out the exit door.

As I sit back, left in the aftermath of the chaos, I finally look down, my hands are covered in Lily's blood, and I'm shaking all over, tears blinding my eyes.

Please, universe, don't take her too!
