Chp. 47: Trustfrated

Ha-Kun let's Heyon, Nabi, and I know he is going to close Rogue for a week so we can all get a moment to cope. Tae left early this morning to get ready at his own place, and then Hobi picked him up to bring him to the hospital, and they swung by to grab me as well so we could arrive at the hospital together.

As we ride along, I open my phone to find out what kind of news we are facing. Just as the guys' team predicted, someone from the hospital leaked to the press that it was actually Yoongi who has been dating Lily and that he refuses to leave her side -the headlines are everywhere.

"Music Producer CEO Arrested in Attempt to Murder Lily Tremblay"

"Anonymous hospital employee leaks Suga is dating Lily Tremblay."

"Suga refuses to leave hospital, stays by Lily Tremblay's side."

"Suga's bias was Lily Tremblay this entire time..."

"RM denies he was a distraction from Suga and Lily's relationship."

And then one story appears that makes things feel a tiny bit better:

"BTS ARMY band together to donate money for medical care of children in Cancer wing at the same hospital Lily is in critical condition. The money is being donated in Lily and Suga's names. Supporters light a vigil outside the hospital to show support for Suga. ARMY sends #LilSugaSupport hashtag trending."

I'm relieved that a large number of ARMY have decided to support the guys, Suga in particular, and have mobilized a campaign to do some good and let Suga know they still love him, but the other headlines make me furious.

I go into my saved files and upload an interview with Lily where she speaks about Namjoon that I had been saving to release, but now I feel it is important to share. I locate the file from my phone and release it to Lily's Instagram.

In the black and white video, Lily is sitting in her studio, pretty as a picture, looking happy, and then she starts speaking about Namjoon:

I'm quite proud of Namjoon for advocating for himself through his solo album and for trying to reveal himself for who he needs to be in the world.

I think it is no secret that I advocate for human rights, equality, and equity. So, when I see one of my best friends really start walking the talk about his 'Love Yourself' message, it makes me so proud. I'm honored to be his friend and help advocate for his well-being.

In the end, I think we all desire the freedom to be able to love, live, and make our own decisions, even if they end up being mistakes we have to learn from. I want this for Namjoon and the entire world.

I lean back against the seat and look at the window, sighing as we pass by a large crowd gathered outside with pictures of Yoongi and signs. Candles are lit, and it seems they are singing or chanting. Hobi carefully maneuvers around the crowd and drives to the parking garage, where a guard clears us. As Hobi exits the vehicle, I notice he has two bags in his hands, and I offer to help carry one, but he just smiles and waves me away.

Soon we are ushered by security down a long hallway to a private room, and I breathe a sigh of relief to find Jimin sleeping in a chair in the corner and Yoongi in a chair pulled up bedside to a sleeping Lily.

Yoongi is hunched forward, his head resting on the bed with his hand gently under Lily's, and I know he's probably been in this position for a long time. Hobi nudges Jimin, and his eyes flutter open, "Here, I brought you a full change of clothes and some toiletries. Go clean up, okay." Jimin nods and gives Hobi an appreciative tap on the shoulder as he slides into the bathroom.
