Chapter 37: People from the past

My mind were occupied throughout the day.

"Okay ka lang?" Tanong saakin ni Alice.

"Yeah" sagot ko.

"Wag kang lalayo saakin mamaya Alice" sambit ko sakanya

I am meeting Darius today since I have no choice but to deal with the technology that my company needs.

"Bakit naman? Akala ko ba wala lang sayo?"

"Wala nga, pero hanggat maari ayoko sya makausap, Alice. Ewan ko rin pero tuwing nakikita ko sya umiinit and dugo ko sakanya"

"Baka naiilang ka lang"

"Bakit naman ako maiilang sakanya? I am just doing a business with him ayun lang naman ang relationship naming dalawa"

"Talaga ba? Eh bakit nakakita ako nung brochure ng condo unit around Manila sa lamesa mo? Gusto mo lumipat kasi same condo kayo ni Darius?" Anito

"Of course not! Si Olivia ang hinahanapan ko ng condo!"

"Sus, nakauwi na at lahat si Olivia dinadahilan mo pa rin"

"Uuwi sya ulit sa December, she must have her own condo unit para hindi nya ako ginugulo."

Napaaga ang uwi ni Olivia dahil nagkaroon ng emergency sa business nito. Olivia is a young business woman she already own a cosmetic brand at the age of 20.

Bumaba na kami ng sasakyan ni Alice at saka dumeretso sa loob.

Darius wasn't there to guide us, according to the attendant he needs to do some errands that's why he can't help us. It's actually favorable with me.

Everything became smoothly as we pick some machines that we needed.

"Ma'am this way po, Mr. Fuentez is waiting for you in his office" Darius secretary said

"Akala ko ba wala sya?"

"Kararating lang po" sagot ng secretary nito.

Alice waited for me in the lobby and I went on his office alone.

Sumunod lang ako sa secretary nya hanggang sa makapasok ako sa loob ng office nya. Our eyes met as soon as I arrive inside of his office but he immediately diverted his gaze.

"My secretary took out the lists that you bought. I just wanted to check if you need anything else" he said as soon as I sat on the chair in front of him.

"Well, I already pick everything that we need for this month" I answered

"How about for the future purposes?" He asks casually

"I'll check" Sagot ko

His brows furrowed like as if he wasn't satisfied on my answer. I can sense that he wanted to comment on something but he remain silent.

"Call us if you need anything else, you can email us and send us the lists to avoid inconvenience" he said

This conversation, I wasn't expecting it to be this casual.

"It's fine, I wanted to check it physically anyway"

Fudge! I wanted to take my words back. Hindi naman siguro ang dating sakanya ay gusto ko sya makita no?

"Right" he said but I know that he wasn't convinced at all.

"Uh, you know to make sure that every item is working on it's best" I said immediately

"I didn't ask for explanation tho" he said and signed on the paper.

What the fuck!

"Sign this" anito at saka inabot saakin ang papel at ballpen.
