I wish I could see myself through your eyes...
Because you see me as a beautiful human, that deserves the world and more.
But I see myself as an ugly thing that deserves nothing but the worst...
All I've ever heard from my older brother, and all that my dad has shown me over and over again...
Is that I'm not good enough, not enough...
The girls at school made fun of me.. saying I'm not worth anything.
The voices of my demons echo and amplify my pain tenfold...
But you.. with your smile and kind words, you heal the pain.
And when you see me being ruthlessly cruel to myself,
You say that I'm worth it.. that I AM enough...
That you'll always be there; that you'd protect me from all those that dare hurt me. That I'm your everything.
You give me the courage and strengthen me to fight back...
To stand up to my demons, and fight for me on my own...
Because I am your everything, just like you're mine!!
