There's something in me,
Something that no one else can see.
It tries to break free,
Can you see the demon in me?
Whenever I'm all alone or in my room at night,
I fight my demon to stay.
It wants to be set free and see the light,
But I fight so it doesn't break away.

When someone gets close to me,
I'm afraid that they'll see,
So I hide the demon in me.

Why can't you see the demon in me?
Whenever I'm sad and alone,
It wants to call my soul home.
Every time I tell it to be gone,
It says I'm home to devil spawn.

Can anyone see the demon in me?
It hides just beneath the skin,
I'm afraid that I'm wearing thin.
But I would die before I let my demon win.

Not only is the fight in me,
But you can't fight what you can't see.

The Hidden Darkness
PoetryI honestly don't know what to put here.. I decided to write a book, and so I wrote these poems. I know that they aren't very good, but at least I tried.. right?? 😅😅😅
