Evey where I go, I see and hear the phrases 'just grow up already'
Or 'stop acting like a child'
And even 'stop being so goddamn immature!'
But I wish someone said 'just not yet..'
'Just wait.. because you're too young to be all grown up by 13'
The world we live in pushes kids to grow up a little too fast...
I think that's why my mom remembers her childhood, but I don't remember mine... She was told to be a kid,
While I was told to grow up by people that didn't enough to get to know me
I've been told to lose my imagination but to also keep my creativity
But here's a secret: creativity comes from imagination.
If a child loses their imagination, they lose most of their creativity
And they stop seeing the magic, the beauty, and all of the wonder in everything.
It is important to grow up but enjoy your childhood while you can.
