Hermione had realised that I didn't feel like talking for a while so she just let me be alone with my own thoughts as we waited by Harry's bed.

"Harry," Hermione said as he woke up.

"I saw my dad," Harry said as he got up.

"What...?" I said walking over to them.

"He sent the Dementors away... I saw him. Across the lake..." Harry said.

Hermione exchanges a private glance with me and turns back.

"Listen, Harry. They've captured Sirius. Any minute the Dementors are going to perform the Kiss," Hermione said.

"The Kiss...?" Harry asked.

"It's what Dementors do to those they want to destroy. They clamp their jaws over the victim's mouth and... suck out their soul," I said

"You mean, they're going to kill Sirius?" Harry said.

"No. It's worse. Much worse. You go on living. But you have no memory. No sense of self. You're just a shell. An empty shell..." Hermione said.

"Headmaster, you've got to stop them! They've got the wrong man!" Hermione said as Dumbeldore came in.

"It's true, sir, Sirius is innocent," Harry said.

"It's Scabbers who did it," Ron said from his bed.

"Scabbers?" Dumbledore said confused.

"He's my rat, sir. He's not really a rat. Well, he was a rat. He was my brother Percy's rat, but then they gave him an owl and--" Ron said as I cut him off.

"Point is we know the truth. Please believe us," I said.

"I do, Mr L/N, but I'm sorry to say the word of four thirteen-year-old wizards will convince few others. A child's voice, however honest and true, is meaningless to those who have forgotten how to listen. Mysterious thing, time. Powerful. And when meddled with, dangerous. Sirius Black is in the topmost cell of the Dark Tower. You know the laws, you two. You must not be seen, and you would do well, I feel, to return before this last chime. If not, the consequences are too ghastly to discuss. If you succeed tonight, more than one innocent life may be spared. Three turns should do it, I think. Oh, by the way. When in doubt, I found retracing my steps to be a wise place to begin. Good luck," Dumbledore said before leaving.

"What the bloody hell was that all about?" Ron said.

"Sorry, Ron, but seeing as you can't walk," Hermione said.

Hermione puts a necklace around her Harry's and my necks. On the end of it is an hourglass. Harry reaches up to examine it, but Hermione swats his hand away. She spins the hourglass three times. A ticking sound begins, and everything around us rushes backwards. It stops with all three of us standing in a deserted hospital wing during the daytime.

"7 o'clock where were we at 7 o'clock," Hermione said after looking at the clock.

"Hagrid's," I said quickly as we left.

"Hermione! Hermione, wait. Hermione, will you please tell me what it is we're doing?" Harry said as we come across the us from a few hours ago.

"You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" The Hermione from before said.

"That's us. This is not normal," Harry said as Hermione pushed him back.

"This is a Time-Turner, Harry. McGonagall gave it to me first term. It's how we've been getting to our lessons all year," Hermione said me nodding.

"You mean we've gone back in time?" Harry said now putting the pieces together.

"Yes. Dumbledore obviously wanted us to return to this moment," Hermione said.

"Clearly, something happened he wants us to change," I said.

"Good punch," I say as Hermione punches Draco.

"Thanks. Malfoy's coming," Hermione said as we jumped through a doorway to hide.

"Come on. We should be at Hagrid's,"

"Look. Buckbeak's still alive," Harry said.

"Of course. Remember what Dumbledore said? If we succeed, more than one innocent life could be spared," Hermione as we hid in the pumpkin patch to avoid being seen.

"Here they come. You'd better hurry," Harry said.

"Not yet Fudge has to see Buckbeak before we steal him. Otherwise, he'll think Hagrid set him free," I said grabbing Harry's arm.

"That's Pettigrew," Harry said seeing the rat.

"Harry, you can't," I said pulling him back.

"He betrayed my parents. He knows about yours. You don't expect me to sit here," Harry said.

"Yes, and you must! Harry, you're in Hagrid's hut now. If you go bursting in, you'll think you've gone mad," I said.

"Awful things happen to wizards who meddle with time," Hermione said.

"She's right," I said.

"We can't be seen. Fudge is coming. And we aren't leaving? Why aren't we leaving?" Hermione said.

"Are you mad?" Harry said as she threw a stone inside.

"No, she's not," I said throwing a stone myself and hitting Harry in the head.

"That hurt," Harry said rubbing his head.

"Sorry," I said.

"We're coming out the back door Go!" Hermione said and we hid in the forest from our past selves.

"Is that really what my hair looks like from the back?" Hermione said before I pull her back to the tree and hold her still our bodies close very close.

"What?" Past Harry said.

"I thought I just saw. Never mind. Let's go," Past Hermione said as they all go off.

"Okay, go, Y/N," Harry said.

I made my way over to Buckbeak and after a few close calls, I was able to pull him with us into the forest.

"Now what?" I say once we are deep in the forest.

"We save Sirius," Harry said.

"How?" I asked.

"No idea," Harry said.

We all wait overlooking the willow tree so I sit down by Hermione and put my arm over her shoulder and she put her head on my shoulder.

"Something wrong," Hermione said.

"I don't know I just got this feeling like a sixth sense that something is coming something bad and I don't want to get hurt," I said.

"Y/N as long as you are by my side nothing will hurt me," Hermione said nuzzling into my shoulder.
