"You first," Hermione said to Harry as we tried to destroy the locket after a few days.

"Dissendium. Incendio. Expulso. Diffindo. Reducto," Harry said but nothing worked.

"What are you doing?" Hermione said as Harry put the locket around his neck.

"We have to keep it safe until we find out how to destroy it," Harry said.

"Seems strange, mate. Dumbledore sends you off... to find all these Horcruxes, but doesn't tell you how to destroy them. Doesn't that bother you?" Ron said.

"Bothers me," I said heading back to the tent Hermione following after me.

"Hey hold on," Hermione said as I got to the tent.

"What," I said.

"I can tell when something is bothering you," Hermione said.

"I just get the sense Dumbledore didn't tell us everything and now he can't," I said heading back inside.

It was night later and I was outside looking off into the forest as Ron was inside with that damned radio and Harry and Hermione talked at the entrance.

"I thought it had stopped. You can't keep letting him in, Harry," Hermione said and I came over to hear what had happened.

"You-Know-Who has found Gregorovitch," Harry said.

"The wandmaker?" I said.

"He wants something that Gregorovitch used to have... but I don't know what. But he wants it desperately. I mean, it's as if his life depends on it," Harry said as static crackles on the radio.

"Don't. It comforts him," Hermione said.

"It sets my teeth on edge. What's he expecting to hear, good news," Harry said.

"I think he just hopes he doesn't hear bad news which is fair enough but he could at least turn the volume down," I said.

"How long before he can travel?" Harry said.

"I'm doing everything I can," Hermione said.

"You're not doing enough!" Harry said.

"Take it off. Harry I said, take it off now," I said and Harry removed the locket.

"Better?" Hermione said.

"Loads," Harry said.

"We'll take it in turns, okay?" I said putting it on.

"Snatchers," Hermione as I came up behind her.

"Good to know your enchantments work," I said as the Snatchers move on.

"He could smell it. My perfume. I've told you... Ron isn't strong enough to Apparate," Hermione said.

"Well, then, we'll go on foot. And next time, Hermione, as much as I like your perfume, just don't wear any," I said as I winked at her and headed back to the tent.

The days dragged on as we proceeded to move on foot we would be setting up camp in a new area every night. I was sitting at the table as Ron lay in his bed and Hermione cut Harry's hair I was next as we both could use one.

"Oh, my God," Hermien said as she stopped cutting Harry's hair.

"What?" Harry said.

"I'll tell you in a minute," Hermione said as he came over to the table and took the book was reading.

"Hey," I said.

"Sorry. The sword of Gryffindor, it's goblin-made," Hermione said as she opened the book.

"Brilliant," Harry said.

"No, you don't understand," Hermien said.

"I do. Dirt and rust have no effect on the blade. It only takes in that which makes it stronger," I said and Hermione smiled at me.

"Okay," Harry said still not getting it.

"Harry, you've already destroyed one Horcrux, right?" I said.

"Tom Riddle's diary in the Chamber of Secrets," Hermione said.

"With a Basilisk fang. If you tell me you've got one of those... in that bloody beaded bag of yours..." Harry said.

"Don't you see?" Hermione said.

"In the Chamber of Secrets, you stabbed the Basilisk with the sword of Gryffindor. Its blade is impregnated with Basilisk venom," I said.

"It only takes in that which makes it stronger," Harry said as he put it all together.

"Exactly, which is why-" I said.

"It can destroy Horcruxes. That's why Dumbledore left it to you in his will," Hermione said.

"You are brilliant, Hermione. Truly," Harry said.

"Actually, I'm highly logical, which allows me to look past extraneous detail... and perceive clearly that which others overlook," Hermione said as I kissed the top of her head.

"Yeah, there's only one problem, of course," I said.

"The sword was stolen. Yeah, I'm still here. But you two carry on. Don't let me spoil the fun," Ron said.

"What's wrong?" I said.

"Wrong? Nothing's wrong. Not according to you, anyway," Ron said.

"Look, if you've got something to say, don't be shy. Spit it out," Harry said.

"All right, I'll spit it out. But don't expect me to be grateful... because there's another damn thing we've gotta find," Ron said.

"I thought you knew what you signed up for," I said.

"Yeah. I thought I did too," Ron said.

Well then, I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand. What part of this isn't living up to your expectations? Did you think we were gonna be staying in a hotel? Finding a Horcrux every other day? Thought you'd be back by Christmas," Harry said.

"I just thought, after all this time... we would've achieved something. I thought you knew what you were doing. I thought Dumbledore told you something worthwhile. I thought you had a plan," Ron said.

"I told you everything Dumbledore told me," Harry said.

"And in case you haven't noticed, we found a Horcrux," I said.

"Yeah, and we're as close to getting rid of it as we are to finding the rest of them," Ron said as we we're all getting annoyed.

"Ron. Take the Horcrux off. You wouldn't be saying this... if you hadn't been wearing it all day," I said.

"Want to know why I listen to that radio? To make sure I don't hear Ginny's name, or Fred, or George or Mom," Ron said.

"You think I'm not listening? You think I don't know how this feels?!" Harry said now shouting.

"No, you don't know how it feels! Your parents are dead. You have no family," Ron said making Harry snap.

"Stop. Stop," Hermione said as we pulled them off one another.

"Fine, then go! Go, then!" Harry said.

"Fine. And you? Are you coming or are you staying? Fine. I get it," Ron said to Hermione as she took my hand.

I picked up the locket and put it on, after all, it was my turn but after what happened I did feel uneasy about it.

"Hey you gonna be okay,"  Hermione said her hand on my shoulder.

"I hope so," I said before going to bed for the night.
