"Parcel for you, Mr. Weasley," A first-year boy said.
"Thank you, Nigel. Not now, Nigel. Later. Go on," Ron said.
"Ron explain," I said as Hermione shot him a glare.
"I told him I'd get him Harry's autograph. Oh, look, Mum's sent me something. Mum sent me a dress," Ron said as he pulled out the huge coat.
"Well, it does match your eyes. Is there a bonnet? Ahaaa," Harry said as he found a bonnet.
"Put those down, Harry. Ginny, these must be for you," Ron said.
I'm not wearing that, it's ghastly," Ginny said as me and Hermione began to laugh.
"What are you on about?" Ron said.
"They're not for Ginny. They're for you," Hermione said making all those around us laugh.
"Dress robes," I said.
"Dress robes? For what?" Ron said.

"The Yule Ball has been a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament since its inception," McGonagall said.
"Hummm I could use this," I said to myself.
"On Christmas Eve night, we and our guests gather in the Great Hall for a night of well-mannered frivolity. As representatives of the host school l expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward. And l mean this literally, because the Yule Ball is, first and foremost a dance," McGonagall said.
"The house of Godric Gryffindor has commanded the respect of the wizarding world for nearly 10 centuries. l will not have you, in the course of a single evening, besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons," McGonagall said.
"Try saying that five times fast," Fred said.
"Now, to dance is to let the body breathe. inside every girl, a secret swan climbers longing to burst forth and take flight," McGonagall said.
"Something's about to burst out of Eloise Midgen, but l don't think it's a swan," Ron said as a few boys sniggered I just rolled my eyes.
"Inside every boy, a lordly lion prepared to prance, Mr Weasley," McGonagall said.
"Yes," Ron said seeing his mistake.
"Will you join me," McGonagall said and I gave him a push with a smile.
"Now, place your right hand on my waist," McGonagall said.
"Where?" Ron said surprised as one kid wolf-whistled.
"My waist. And extend your arm. Mr. Filch, if you please. One, two, three. One, two, three. One, two, three," McGonagall said as she and Ron danced around the room.
"Never gonna let him forget this, are you?" Harry said to the twins.
"Never," They both said.
"Everybody come together. Boys, on your feet!" McGonagall said and me and Neville were the only ones to stand.
I saw Hermione looking at me and we partnered up for the dance she asked if I knew who I was taking and I told her that my plan was in motion. I didn't lie I did have a plan I was able to get all the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff kids to help me out. I sent an anonymous message to Hermione telling her to come to the library and inside waiting for her were kids side by side forming a pathway for her where I waited at the end with her favourite Flowers and a question. When she did arrive her face went as red as a branding iron she slowly and shyly walked to me and I just smiled at her. As she passed the kids on either side of they would bow treating her like a princess and in truth she was mine but this still may have been a little much.
"Hey Hermione glad you could make it," I said.
"Umm what is all this," Hermione asked.
"Just a simple question will you Hermione Granger do me the honour of accompanying me to the ball on Christmas eve," I said as I gave her the flowers and Hermione's eyes widened.
"You went through all this just to ask me to the ball," Hermione said.
"Of course I did," I said.
"You idiot you didn't have to I would have been fine with a small display, of course, I will go with you," Hermione said as she hugged me and the others cheered as I told them too.
A couple of days later we al all in the great hall for a study session with snape Harry and Ron sit next to Hermione as I sit across from her.
"This is mad. At this rate, we'll be the only ones in our year without dates. Well, us and Neville," Ron said.
"Yeah, but, then again, he can take himself," Harry said as they shared a laugh.
"lt might interest you to know that Neville's already got someone," Hermione said.
"Now I'm really depressed," Ron said as Fred threw him a piece of paper.
''Get a move on or all the good ones will have gone. Who are you going with, then?" Ron read out.
"Oi, Angelina?" Fred said.
"What?" The girl said.
"Do you wanna go to the ball with me?" Fred mouthed the words to her while he fake danced.
"To the ball? Yeah, all right," The girl said and I sniggered.
"Oi, Hermione. You're a girl," Ron said.
"Oh yeah, well spotted," Hermione said and I giggled.
"Come with one of us? Come on. lt's one thing for a bloke to show up alone. For a girl, it's just sad," Ron said.
"l won't be going alone, because, believe it or not, someone's asked me! And l said yes!" Hermione said as she handed her book to Snape who took it with a hint of anger and then she left.
I was back in the common room late that night with Hermione as we just talked about nothing in particular until a bunch of kids came in with a flustered Ron.
"lt's all right, Ron. lt's okay, Ron. lt's all right. lt doesn't matter," Ginny said trying to calm him down.
"What happened to you?" I said as we got up and came over.
"He just asked Fleur Delacour out," Ginny said.
"What?" Hermione said shocked.
"What did she say?" I said a little more calmly.
"No, of course," Hermione said but Ron shook his head.
"She said yes?" Hermione said.
"Don't be silly. There she was, walking by. You know how l like it when they walk. l couldn't help it. lt just sort of slipped out," Ron said his voice shaking.
"Actually, he sort of screamed at her. lt was a bit frightening," Ginny said and I couldn't help but laugh.
