More Than Magic (Hermione x Male reader)

Year 7 - But Why

I stood there looking at Luna I was surprised at what she was doing here until I remembered the meeting with her father. I also saw Olivanders and a goblin with us he was from Gringotts but why he was here I have no clue, not like they picked sides. 

"That sword is meant to be in my vault at Gringotts. How did you get it? What else did you and your friends take from my vault?!" I heard Bellatrix say.

"I didn't take anything. Please. I didn't take anything," Hermien said as she sobbed.

"I don't believe it," Bellatrix said before Hermione began to scream as Bellatrix laughed. 

"We have to do something. We've tried everything. It's enchanted." Lunna said.

"There's no way out of here," Harry said. 

"Please! Please!" Hermione said.

"Shut up!" Bellatrix said.

"You're bleeding, Harry. That's a curious thing to keep in your sock," Luna said as Harry pulled out a piece of broken mirror. 

[HERMIONE CONTINUES SCREAMING]

"Help us," Harry said before worm tail came down.

"Let her go," I said. 

"Shut up. Get back. You, goblin, come with me," Wormtail said as he left with the Goblin.  

"Aah!" Dobby appeared with a grunt. 

"Dobby?" We said.

"What are you doing here?" Harry said. 

"Dobby has come to rescue Harry Potter, of course. Dobby will always be there for Harry Potter," Dobby said.

"You can Apparate in and out of this room? Could you take us with you?" Harry asked.

"Of course, sir. I'm an elf," Dobby said.

"Works for me," I said. 

"Dobby, I want you to take Luna and Mr. Ollivander to..." Harry began. 

"Shell Cottage on the outskirts of Tinworth. Trust me," Ron said.

"Whenever you're ready, sir," Luna said taking Dobby's hand.

"Sir? I like her very much," Dobby said.

"Meet me at the top of the stairs in 10 seconds," Doddy said after he reappeared.  

We lured Wormtail down and hid behind the door I knocked him out as he fell to the ground then saw Dobby at eh top of the stars. 

"Who gets his wand?" I said as Harry took it. 

We saw Dobby had taken out a Satcher so took his wand as we passed him I also took back Hermione's beaded bag that he had. 

"I'm only going to ask you once more, goblin. Think very, very carefully before you answer," Bellatrix said as we snuck over to see Hermione on the ground.

"I don't know," Griphook said.

"You don't know? Why weren't you doing your job? Who got into my vault? Who stole it? Who stole it? Well?" Bellatrix said as she cut Griphook's cheek. 

"When I was last in your vault, the sword was there," Griphook said. 

"Oh, well then, perhaps it just walked out on its own then," Bellatrix said. 

"There is no place safer than Gringotts," Griphook said.

"Liar! Consider yourself lucky, goblin. The same won't be said for this one," Bellatrix said as she pointed her wand at Hermione.

"Like hell. Expelliarmus! Stupefy," I said as I ran out and attacked Bellatrix but she blocked. 

"Stop! Drop your wands. I said, drop them!" Bellatrix said as she had her wand at Hermione's neck. 

"You'll pay for this," I said as I dropped it. 

"Pick them up, Draco, now. Well, well, well, look what we have here. It's Harry Potter. He's all bright and shiny and new again, just in time for the Dark Lord. Call him. Call him," Bellatrix said.

There was a small squeaking sound that filled the room we all looked up to see Dobby hanging from a chandelier as he unscrewed it. It then fell and to save herself Bellatrix threw Hermione forward as I grabbed her and helped her to her feet. 

"Stupid elf. You could've killed me," Bellatrix said. 

"Dobby never meant to kill. Dobby only meant to maim or seriously injure," Dobby said before he disarms Narcissa.

"How dare you take a witch's wand? How dare you defy your masters?" Bellatrix yelled. 

"Dobby has no master. Dobby is a free elf. And Dobby has come to save Harry Potter and his friends," Dobby said his assertiveness made me smile.

Bellatrix threw a knife at us but Dobby apparated us away just in time and we were on a beach.  

"Hermione. You're all right. We're safe. We're all safe," I said as I hugged her close. 

"Harry Potter," Dooby said as we saw the knife in his stomach.

"Dobby," Harry said as he fell in Harry's arms. 

Dobby. No, just. Hold on. Hold on. Look, just hold on, okay? We'll fix you. Hermione will have something. In your bag. Hermione? Hermione? What is it? Help me," Harry begged but we knew it was too late nothing could fix that. 

"Such a beautiful place... to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend... Harry Potter," Dooby said as he let out his final breath.  

"We should close his eyes. Don't you think? There. Now he could be sleeping," Luna said as Hermione cried in my arms. 

"I want to bury him. Properly. Without magic," Harry said his voice shaking.

I need and got up to help him the two of us dug a small but deep grave as we dug Hermione and Ron had gone to the house to find something to wrap Dobby in. They had some wight sheets as HArry wrapped Dobby up I found a stone to use as a tome stone and using a sharp rock carved Dobby's name into it with the words "A free elf" below. We all held a small ceremony for the small elf and I could tell that this was affecting Harry more than the rest of us. 

"You okay," Hermien said as we sat in the room Bill had given us while we stayed here. 

"It's you I am worried about," I said.

"Why," Hermione said.

"Your arm I heard you as she did that to you Hermione, it's not something I am okay with," I said.

"It stings but it doesn't hurt," Hermine said.

"I don't care about that my issue is that I was meant to protect you and then you get this it's a reminder that I failed, I can't live like that," I said.

 "But why," Hermione said.

"Because you are all that matters to me if you don't make it through this then I don't want to either," I said.
