Year 7 - This Is Going To Be Difficult

"So, what we gonna do with you, hey? Kill us if it was turned round, wouldn't you?" Ron said.

"If we kill them, they'll know we were here," I said.

"Suppose he did Mad-Eye. How would you feel then?" Ron said.

"It's better if we wipe their memories," Harry said. 

"You're the boss. Hermione, you're the best at spells," Ron said.

"I'll do it. Obliviate," I said knowing it would be hard for Hermione.

"How is it they knew we were there?" Harry said.

"Maybe you still have the Trace on you?" Hermien said.

"Can't be. Trace breaks at 17 It's wizarding law," I said as Hermione gasped.

"What?" Harry said.

"We didn't celebrate your birthday, Harry. Ginny and I, we prepared a cake. We were going to bring it out at the end of the wedding," Hermione said.

"I appreciate the thought but given the fact that we were almost killed by a couple of Death Eaters a few minutes ago..." Harry said.

"Right. Perspective," Hermione said.

"We need to get off the streets, get somewhere safe," Harry said.

"Number 12," I said and they nodded. 

"What was that all about?" Ron said after a Dumbledore of smoke came at us but disappeared before hitting us.

"Probably Mad-Eye's idea, in case Snape decided to come snooping," I said.

"Homenum Revelio.We're alone," Hermione said after casting a spell. 

"Harry? Hermione, Y/N where are you? I think I've found something," Ron said calling out to us.

"Regulus Arcturus Black."R.A.B." Hermien said.

"I know I will be dead long before you read this. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it. R.A.B. is Sirius's brother," Harry said.

"Yes. Question is, did he actually destroy the real Horcrux?" I said.

There was then a sound from downstairs I put my hand to my lips to tell them to be quiet as I headed down. I made it to the kitchen to a cupboard I opened it and grabbed what was inside which turned out to be Kreacher.

"You," I said putting him on the table. 

"You've been spying on us, have you?" Ron said.

"Kreacher has been watching," He said.

"Maybe he knows where the real locket is," Hermine said. 

"Have you ever seen this before? Kreacher?" Harry said.

"It's Master Regulus' locket," Kreacher said.

"But there were two, weren't there? Where's the other one?" Harry said as Kreacher whimpered.

"Kreacher doesn't know where the other locket is," Kreacher said.

"Yes, but did you ever see it? Was it in this house?" Hermione said.

"Filthy Mudblood," Kreacher said.

"Watch your tongue and answer her," I said.

"Yes. It was here in this house. A most evil object," Kreacher said.

"How do you mean?" I asked.

"Before Master Regulus died, he ordered Kreacher to destroy it... but no matter how hard Kreacher tried, he could not do it," Kreacher said.

"Well, where is it now?" Harry said.

"Did someone take it?" I asked.

"He came in the night. He took many things, including the locket," Kreacher said.

"Who did? Who was it, Kreacher?" I said.

"Mundungus. Mundungus Fletcher," Kreacher said.

"Find him," Harry said and Kreacher apparated. 

I was on the sofa in the main room as I looked over the deed to Dumbledore's home I was glad to have a place to live out my days with Hermione but why me? I saw Hermione come over and sat next to me I gave her a smile and she laced her fingers with mine and smiled back. 

"Hey so about back at the dinner with those two death eaters," Hermione said.

"What about them," I said.

"Thank you for dealing with them," Hermione said.

"No problem I could tell it would have been difficult for you to do that given all that went down with your parents," I said.

"I know but you didn't have to do that for me," Hermione said.

"Hermione I am always going to be here for no matter what it is I will always do anything to keep you safe," I said.

"Anything," Hermione said.

"If it came down to it I would trade my life for yours in a heartbeat," I said.

"Well I'm not okay with that don't throw your life away so casually like that I would not be able to handle it if you died," Hermione said.

"Okay," I said as I pulled Hermione in and kissed the top of her head making her let out a cute giggle. 

"Get off," We hear as a crash came from the kitchen. 

"Harry Potter, so long it's been," Said Dobby as we got to the kitchen

"Get off me," Mundungus said with Kreacher around his neck. 

"As requested, Kreacher has returned with the thief..." Kreacher said. 

"Expelliarmus," I said disarming Mundungus. 

"What are you playing at? Setting a pair of bleeding house elves after me," Mundungus said.

"Dobby was only trying to help. Dobby saw Kreacher in Diagon Alley, which Dobby thought was curious. And then Dobby heard Kreacher mention Harry Potter's name. And then Dobby saw Kreacher talking with the thief, Mundungus---" Dobby said.

"I'm no thief, you foul little-- Git. I'm a purveyor of rare and wondrous objects," Mundungus said.

"You're a thief, Dung. Everyone knows it," Ron said.

"Master Weasley, so good to see you again, and I am very happy to see you master L/N I hope you and Miss Granger are in good health," Dobby said shaking hands with Ron and us.

"Yeah we're good Dobby," I said.

"Wicked trainers," Ron said.

"Listen, I panicked that night, all right? Could I help it if Mad-Eye fell off his broom?" Mundungus said.

"Tell the truth. When you turned this place over. Don't deny it. you found a locket, am I right?" Harry said.

"Why? Was it valuable?" Mundungus said.

"You still got it?" Hermione said.

"No, he's worried he didn't get enough money for it," I said.

"Bleeding give it away, didn't I? There I was, flogging my wares in Diagon Alley... when some Ministry hag comes up and asks to see me license. Says she's a mind to lock me up. And would've done it too, if she hadn't taken a fancy to that locket," Mundungus said.

"Who was she? The witch. Do you know?" Harry said. 

"No, I--Well, she's there. Look. Bleeding bow and all," Mundungus said showing a newspaper with Umbrige's face on the front page.

"Your joking of all the..." I said not knowing how to finish. 

"This is going to be difficult," Hermione said knowing just how much we all hated her.
