It has been a good few years since the battle for Hogwarts and Hermione and I have happily moved into the house that Dumbledor left to me in his will. It was a huge 4-story building that was in the north of the country and we loved it we did a bit of magical remodelling since two years after moving in Hermione said she was pregnant so we had to look into a child's room. After the battle, Hermione had gone back to Hogwarts to finish her studies whereas I became an Auror with Harry and Ron we had more than proved ourselves. Speaking of Harry and Ron they were both doing well Harry was with Ginny and were also starting a family as was Ron he had found a girl we knew from Beauxbatons in our 4th year.

I had gone and made it as an Auror in the now reformed ministry just as Harry and Ron had Hermione had gone back to Hogwarts to finish her final year but not like I didn't expect her to. Now she was in magical law enforcement but she was well on her way to becoming the Minister for Magic and I could not be more proud. Even with all of our jobs we never forgot our friends Harry and Ginny would visit us regularly and it was never boring with those two around. At one visit the two of us were asked to become the godparents of Harry and Ginny's children and we accepted 100% and they were so happy as were we.

Hermione and I would constantly visit the  Weasley family as they had become another family to me and treated me as one of their own. When the Weasley family found out that Hermione was expecting they instantly invited themselves over along with all others we knew and there was a huge party. It wasn't long after Hermione gave birth to our first child that they got into Hogwarts there was still work to be done but at least it was accepting students again. We had decided to name our first child after my father Hermione was happy with the name as she had good memories of my dad from the summer she spent with me and my family.

It was now a good morning as me and Hermione were heading to Kings Cross to see our second child off to Hogwarts. This time was going to be different as Harry Ginny and Ron were also going to be there with other children.

"So how did you get your boss to agree to give the week off to help prepare Lisa (our daughter) for Hogwarts," Hermione said as we got dressed.

"To be honest I didn't I just said my daughter was attending Hogwarts and he just gave me the time off," I said.

"Well you had been working very hard lately maybe you were due some time off," Hermione said from behind as he hugged me.

"And I do apologize for that but those death Eaters are still out there," I said.

"Hey, mum Dad if we don't leave soon we will miss the train," Ethan (our son) said.

"We know we're coming," Hermione said.

As we got to Kings Cross we met up with Harry And Ginny first as they went to platform 9 & 3/4 with their two children.

"This brings back some memories all of us here on the platform together," I said.

"It feels weird to not be the one getting on the train this time," Ron said as he arrived.

"Yeah but we had our time and given all we went through it was time well spent," I said and Hermione smiled at me.

"We did all we could and we won in the end," Harry said.

"Yeah, we made sure that our kids can grow up in a world of magic that is truly safe no dark wizards coming back from the dead for them to deal with," I said.

"Yeah I guess looking at it like that we did leave Hogwarts better than we found it after all," Ron said.

"Perhaps," I said.

After a bit more catching up we help our kids get on to the train and we say our goodbye to them as the train leaves the station. As we watch the train go Hermione comes up to my side her chin on my shoulder and she kisses my cheek. I turn to look at her and she has a smile on her face it is a smile I have learnt means she has something to tell me.

"Well what is the good news," I said knowing it was good.

"I'm pregnant again," Hermione whispers into my ear.
