Chapter Sixty Eight Gage Gift

James perspective
We're all sitting in a room in Elle and Taos house that he's dedicated to DnD, we always meet here. I'm just so excited to meet Charlie. Aled, Tao, and Elle never stop stalking about how much they love him. Growing up i've never had a group of people who are part of the LGBTQ community and I always felt lost and completely detached from my old friends. I always felt different and alone, Summer was the first person I really felt like myself around she's very openly queer and has an honest bubble personality. I met Tao and Lily through Summer and we all happened to be nerds in high school who loved DnD, it's fate I guess. Charlie seems special to me, because we've shared some of the same experiences all because we were gay, Tao has told me a lot about his high school experience knowing mine. I'm always a little worried meeting new people because I like to wear eyeliner, earrings, and mascara. You never know how some people will react. I've never had a gay best friend, I mostly stuck to girls because I didn't know anyone gay, Im hoping me and Charlie can get alone because I never got to be friends with someone who's just like me.

Charlie perspective
As we walk up to Taos house I ask Nick in a confused manner "The surprise is at Taos house?" he squeezes my hand and says "The secret is I didn't plan a surprise, Tao asked me to get you to his house so you could join in on a DnD meeting, they all really want you there" My cheeks turned a slight pink knowing my friends went to all this trouble just to get me here. "You could've just told me" I say almost inquiring why he didn't just tell me. he looks at me and tilts his head to the side "I know your worried about leaving me and that's why you haven't gone yet, Ill call if you if somethings wrong" I squeeze his hand in a loving way and say "okay" before knocking on the door. The door swings open and Elle enfolds me in a big hug whispering in my ear "Omg i'm literally so happy for you guys" I kissed her on the cheek and she flew into Nicks arms, he spun her around and said "Don't you look gorgeous" Nick hasn't known Elle as long as Me, Aled, and Tao but he knows she struggles a lot with body image and is really insecure about her features and them not being as feminine as she wishes they were, so he always compliments her and it makes my heart melt at how sweet he is. She puts her face close to his ear and whispers "I can't believe it your finally engaged I can't wait for all of us to hangout again" Nick smiles his half smile and thanks Elle. Everyone has came to the door some familiar faces and some not they all yell out in unison "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLIE" I was a little nervous but happy, everyone seemed sweet. Nick turned me around by my waist shooting butterfly's into my stomach and kissed me on the lips then forehead "Bye, I love you call me when you want me to pick you up" I wave bye to Nick and step inside to see everyone staring at me like a fish out of water, then a girl the much shorter than me, with black short hair and a very preppy stylish outfit walks in-front of me and says in a very soft yet high voice "Hi i'm summer nice to meet you" she then leans in for a very friendly hug "Hi summer i'm Charlie" she smiles and stands back then a tall boy wearing earrings and mascara walks up to me and shake my hand "Hi i'm James nice to meet you! please ignore the fact that I just tried to shake your hand that's the most heterosexual thing I think i've ever done" he made me laugh, he was funny and seemed really sweet they all did, although lily didn't introduce herself I knew she was nice Tao already told me she was quite shy.

Nicks perspective
Agh I need to just calm down but I can't, Charlie was going to fall in love with someone tall hot guy and leave me. I felt so angry with him when he's done nothing, I want him to have a good time just not with that James guy. Then I get call from Charlie saying their meeting up for lunch after the meeting and want me to come. I tell him yes because I know he needs me there, he hates public eating places and struggles a lot, but I have had an extreme case of appetite loss and don't really feel in the mood. Thinking for a moment I remembered that joke I made the other day about taking pictures washing my motorcycle without a shirt on, maybe it wasn't such a bad idea what's a birthday without a gage gift anyway.

I talked to Tara and Darcy and they said they would help me. I arrived on my motorcycle at their house. They rented the down stairs part. Tara was in a bright red bathing suit that was a one piece but had a cut out in the middle, Darcy was wearing a neon green top and a marching pair of swim trunks. "Wow I feel underdressed" pointing to my plain black swim trunks. "Lesbians always do it better" Darcy says in a sassy tone. "Agreed" I say smiling a cheesy smile, I was so happy to be here with them right now I needed a friend i've been so stressed out lately about the whole anxiety thing. Tara and Darcy i've always been really close with, they helped me with lots of  personal stuff and I will be forever grateful for them. I then feel the cold rush of hose water hitting my back "Let's get this photo shot started" Tara then snapped the first picture of me. I was wincing from the cold water and Darcy was laughing behind me it was so cute. I take the phone from tara's hand and say "I know my manner ladies first" Tara and Darcy then leaned on my motorcycle kissing, I got the picture and they looked so adorable. Tara tossed me a sponge and said "Start scrubbing" I posed in funny poses washing the motorcycle well Darcy soaked me with water, if it was anybody else I would be embarrassed right now but with them we're all cracking jokes dancing to the music and laughing it's the best. Tara and Darcy's landlord then comes out to her car to get her purse and laughs well saying "Well isn't this a party" we all laugh along with her then Tara ask her landlord if she could take a few pictures of all three of us, the kind lady smiled and agreed, I was standing in the middle and Darcy and Tara kissed ethier sides of my cheeks at the same time, I couldn't help but laugh. "What a lady's man the lady jokes" Darcy buds in "Yes very much so he converted two lesbians to his side" We finished cleaning and getting all our photos. Before I headed out I wanted to let them know something  "Hey guys thanks I really needed some friends" Darcy and tara both came running up to me and we all hugged "We love you too" They said. They couldn't have read my mind better.

I though I would quickly create this digitally, this is the photo of them kissing nick PLATONICALLY OFC GUYS IM NOT TRYING TO SHIP ANY NEW SHIPS OR ANYTHING:)

Don't mind the awful colouring job im at my grandmas and only brought my water color pencil crayons instead of my normal
one :( I don't really like putting my art out there so if it's bad please let me know so I can take it down. I hope this gives you a good visual of them tho
