Nicks perspective I arrived at the jewelry shop it was only like a ten minute drive from our house, I was super nervous because the jeweller emailed Charlie not me so it is kinda weird that I'm showing up instead of him. I think it will be ok when I explain my idea to him. I had been planning on proposing to Charlie a month before our Morocco trip but a lot of stuff happened and I didn't think it was a good time, but my original plan was to get an engagement band added to our promise rings because it would be so special and sentimental then I lost mine at the beach ruining my plan but now I could do it, and make the proposal extra special for Charlie. Lucky Charlie always takes off his rings before he goes into the shower and leaves them on the night stand so well he was in the shower I managed to grab it and slip it in my pocket! Everything was going perfectly.
I entered the store and right away was greeted by Rob. "Hi i'm Rob are you looking for anything in particular" I responded nervously "Yes i'm actually here to pick up a promise ring that you had made for Charlie Spring" he smiled looking at me up and down "Your Nick then I assume" I smile "yup." He goes behind the counter and grabs the ring it was perfect and I honestly felt like I wanted to burst into tears, I was so happy to have it back it ment everything to me. He hands me the ring and says "look alright" I nod my head and say "Perfect! even the engraving is the same spot" he then says "Yeah Charlie made sure it was perfect for you" Of course Charlie did he was the sweetest most sentimental person I know. He then said "Is Charlie still coming he wanted to discuss some stuff with me" I knew this was the moment I needed to tell him about my plan and prays he goes along with it and keeps it a secret from Charlie. I take a breath and tell him "Well I was hoping you could cancel on him because I wanted to propose to him around a month ago but Charlie was in the hospital and it wasn't a good time, then we went on vacation and I lost my promise ring but my plan was to get an engagement band added to both our promise rings and propose to him with the ring he gave me all those years ago" He smile and replies "That honestly is one of the most romantic ideas i've heard in a long time, with that I'll help you, so you want me to keep this a secret and not meet up with Charlie so he cant buy you an engagement ring" I smile in agreement "Yes and could you add an engagement band to his ring" I say handing him Charlie's ring. "yes of course and would like me to add a engagement band to yours as well most Gay couples including my self, add engagement bands to both partners rings because if only one person has it, there assumed the feminine role in the relationship." I didn't really care about what others thought, but I knew Charlie wouldn't like it if he only had an engagement band on his ring. "Yes that would be great" I said exited at how well this went.
he then took me over to look at some engagement bands Charlie didn't like flashy nor too basic, I saw one that reminded me of Charlie and I knew right away Charlie would love it.

I pointed at this thin gold band with diamonds through the centre "That's perfect" I say to Rob. He gets his key out from his pocket and opens the glass case grabbing the engagement band for me to get a closer look. I look at it for a few minutes before saying "yup this is the one it will look perfect" Rob smiles and takes me back to the counter to explain what he's going to do to merge the two rings together, to created the perfect engagement ring. I was so excited after he told me both rings will be ready in three days!! I left the store smiling ear to ear, I couldn't wait to marry the love of my life. I needed to start working on an engagement speech now so it will be perfect because I know how important words of affirmation are to Charlie. Honestly there's nothing I wouldn't do to make Charlie happy he's the one person on this planet that deserves pure happiness he's the sweetest most caring loving and very hot individual ever and I know it's hard for him to see himself that way so it's my job to remind him everyday how amazing he is until he recognizes it himself. I needed to plan the perfect day for our engagement and that's going to be extremely difficult due to the fact me and Charlie are practically inseparable.
I arrived back at our apartment and found Charlie searching through the couch cushions. I totally forgot that I had taken his ring "What are you looking for" I ask as I walk towards Charlie. "I lost it, I lost my ring" I start looking as if I think it's actually lost, he then laughs and says "I think we're cursed" I hug him from behind and say "Maybe, but you lost your ring in the house so we'll find it eventually" he kissed my hand that was wrapped around him "I missed you" he says smiling "I missed you more" I was so thankful he wasn't freaking out about the ring because that would make me feel super guilty.
