Arthur's pov
The winter break is over, which means that we have to go back to school tomorrow. I don't really want to but i can't to anything, right? I know that it will help me with my future and it's the place where I meet my friends every day too. But in the same time it's the same place that makes me want to stay in my room all day.
Me and my friends, Geo and Alice never were the cool kids. We are nerds - as the others like to call us- and me with Geo are gay, so some students hate us. We try to stay out of trouble but there are some boys who never leave us alone and they love joking with us. We call them the basketball group, because they are in the basketball team and they are good.
We have never understood why they mess around with us like I can't understand why I still like Jack, the leader of the basketball group and my friends who like his friends, Bruce and Gabe, wonder the same thing.
While my mind was racing, the others had already started eating. Every Sunday me and my family sit in the table, so we can eat and discuss. I am happy that we do this but I can see how they all have changed.
Especially my sister
She used to hang out with us and I can even say that we had fun, but one day she stopped because she couldn't withstand the bullying. I can understand why she did this but I'm still wondering why Sophia the most popular and at the same time hated girl took interest in her. She decided to make her own group with my sister and Jamie one of the most kindest kids that i have ever known. She could have anyone and she chose them.
She chose them and changed them completely. My sister is barely talking to me and I am sad, because I care so much for her. I know that something is wrong with Sophia but I stopped warning her. It's her choice with who she will be friends with.
When I eventually finished my dinner I looked up. They were all done ." Go to bed,you have school tomorrow " mom told us as she and my dad stood up ready to clean the table. They didn't seem to need our help, so we got up too, heading upstairs to our rooms.
"Goodnight" me and my sister said in unison.
" Goodnight" my parents shouted back while we where in the stairs. When we got upstairs we said good night to each other before going to our rooms and closing the doors.
"Finally, some alone time" I whispered to myself exhaling. I sat on my bed and I covered myself, taking from the bedside table my favourite book and when I found the right page I started reading, until I felt my eyes half closing. I took off my glasses and left them on the bedside table with my book and turned off the light before lying down.
This is the first chapter. I know it's short but still hope you like it.
