Chapter 9

Alice's pov

I felt the sun on my face and started to stir. I opened my eyes and looked out the window, then turned my head to the alarm clock. I had another 5 minutes before my alarm went off but I couldn't sleep. I sat up, my back against the wall while rubbing my eyes and stared at the ceiling. The memories of last night started to come back

What we learned from Geo about Bruce was so shocking but also kind of cute to help him in such a way and we also all agreed that what Jack did wasn't just for fun. Everyone could tell by the way he was looking at Arthur

My alarm clock was the only thing that snapped me out of my thoughts. I sighed and turned to it to close it. Then, I got up and went to the bathroom

After a few minutes I went back to my room to choose what to wear. I went with something simple, just a white shirt and gray tracksuit. After I was ready, I headed to my mirror and brushed my curly hair. When I finished that too, I grabbed my school bag and went downstairs

My mom was putting the plate of food on the table while my dad was sitting in one of the chairs checking something on his phone. I hugged them both before sitting down. My dad put his phone down and turned to look at me with the biggest smile on his face. " How is school?" he asked me "Good" I said smiling too and then we continued talking about school until my mom also sat down - looking at us and smiling - and started eating

My parents are very sweet and I love them with all my heart. We always talk about things that concern us and help me with any problem I have. In addition, they love Geo and Arthur and support them too

I was the first to finish my food and after me was mom. " Should we get going?" I said looking at her to see if I could get a response. He looked at my dad with concern while he was eating and when he felt us both looking at him, he lifted his head and looked at me first and then at my mom. "Oh don't worry honey I can wash the dishes" he said smiling and I could see the love in his eyes. They could understand each other any time

"Good" she told him smiling and went to kiss him, when they moved away they started giggling as if they were children again. I coughed to get their attention and when they looked at me,we started laughing. I was so happy. I also walked up to dad to give him a kiss on the cheek and then grabbed my school bag while my mom greeted him. We approached the door together and I greeted my dad too, we walked out after hearing him shout "goodbye" and "I love you both"

We got to my car and once inside I put on some music and head to mom's work. She was a librarian and the bookstore was not far from the school. While we were in my car we talked a little. She could get very talkative at times but I don't mind at all

After a few minutes I left her to her work. She opened the door and looked at me while greeting, I heard her shout "I love you, have a nice day" and I shouted the same but I'm not sure if she heard me

I started the car and soon I was at school. I turned off the music and walked out with my school bag slung over my shoulder. I looked at the students talking to each other as I walked towards the doors. When I was inside the school I went to my locker to leave some of my things. Then I went to Arthur's locker so I could meet him and Geo. I sighed as I remembered that I had history as a first class while these two had PE

When I got there I waited about 3 minutes before I heard their voices. "Hello" Geo called out happily as he hugged me and then it was Arthur's turn "Hello beautiful" he said as he hugged me too

"Hi to you too" I said smiling and we started talking about our lessons, Jack and his friends, laughing. We waited for that distinctive sound to go to class

When the bell finally rang, we stopped talking and hugged each other, I might as well have planted a kiss on both of their cheeks

I saw them leave with a blush on their faces and chucked. Then I remembered that I had to go to my class too. I started to walk a little fast in case I was late but when I got to the door and opened it I saw I wasn't

I walked past some students, standing and talking and went to sit in my favorite spot. When I finally sat down, I looked out the window, the trees and the birds on them, that's why is my favorite one

While I was looking out and waiting for Mrs. Grant I felt someone sitting next to me. This is a bit strange because not many people do that. I turned my head to look at this person but when I saw who it was I was literally shocked. It was Gabe Madden

I must have been staring too much hour because he suddenly turned his head as if he had sensed my eyes burning holes in him

Crap

I closed my open mouth and immediately turned and looked out again. I had to calm down a bit
