Jamie's pov.

We were walking down the street. Lisa was looking ahead while I was admiring different fancy houses we were passing by. Since we left Sophia's house no one had said anything

I turned to Lisa and patted her shoulder gently. She turned her head and gave me a small smile. I returned it back

"Should we go and inform the school about Sophia?" I asked but she shook her head

"No, I don't think we need to. Mrs. Mayers had probably called them already"

"Jesus.I hope the kids at school aren't wondering where Sophia went" I said concerned

"I don't think they will care about that" she murmured and then it came to my mind

"Right" I said slowly, trying hard not to form a small smile

The unforgettable scene in the cafeteria, something shocking and more "attractive" to others. I knew that something like that would happen someday. When you are an observant person you notice small things that no one else does or big things that no one cares to notice. I mean the sweatshirt Arthur was wearing at the game was Jack's. Jack had wore it before but no one cared to notice

We were near the school when Lisa stopped walking.I took a few more steps before stopping too and looking over my shoulder to her. I turned around and went toward where she was standing so I could ask her what had happened

When I was finally next to her, I sighed as I scanned her sad face. I know that she was trying to look strong but I also know that she is still a child who has her own problems and deserves a normal life. I just hope she knows I will always support her and be there for her

She laid her hands on my back, taking me a tight hug. I could feel her fingers making patterns on my back . She had her face in my sweatshirt and after a few seconds I could feel the warmth of her breath on me. She mumbled something

"What?" I asked her after putting one of my hands around her waist and the other on her head, stroking her hair. She raised her head looking at me still hugging each other

"I know I sound crazy, but do you think Sophia is okay?" She asked calmly but I knew her and I could see through her eyes, her concern and worry so I gave a small reassuring smile, just for her

"Firstly, you're just worried like I am I'm just not showing it much and secondly she is and will be fine" she smiled at me and laid her head on my shoulder this time before hugging me more tight and I placed a kiss on the top of her head before smiling too. After a few seconds we both let go of each other with matching smiles

I put my hand around her and we started walking again.I was still feeling sorry for her but suddenly a thought came to my mind

"Do you want to come to my home after school?" I asked her as I turned my head towards her, expecting her to reject my suggestion but she looked at me with her face shining and that made me happier. I smiled and stroked her hair one last time

"Yes" she whispered as she bit her lower lip smiling and turned her head forward again

In a few minutes we were standing in the front yard in front of the door. We both took a deep breath and gazed at each other before entering. I let go of her, our hands touching for a spare moment. At least we have each other and thankfully that was a useful and good thing because the day went by very quickly with Lisa smiling once or twice by my side

We decided to go and eat as we passed through the door, hoping that no one would tell or ask something. Fortunately, none of the students wondered where Sophia had gone. We sat somewhere away from the others and ate. Jack and his friends were back at their table while Arthur, Geo and Alice were eating and talking to each other
