Arthur's pov.

“Well as you heard class is over. Don't forget to relax and have fun but I want my project too“

“Yes, Mrs Grant” we said all with one voice

We left the classroom with a little laugh. Me and Jack were side by side, trying to find the right time to hold hands, when no one was able to see us. He desperately wanted to feel my soft touch and I would be lying if I said that I didn't like it

“Are you happy for us to do the project together?”

Was he really asking that?

I turned towards him and looked him straight in his eyes. Mine were full of adoration and love, waiting to caught him in the most beautiful moments

“Of course I am Jack. We will spend more time together, how could I not be?”

We were going to his house so we could work on the project we were fortunately chosen to do together, so my happiness was indescribable. Finally, except for our homework, we would have the time to talk freely without hundred of eyes staring down at us

“Perfect…umm, did you inform everyone?” that was his only question before he stopped spilling his words with that memorable voice, allowing me to reflect on whether I actually informed everyone

“Mmh! Wait a minute”

As we both stopped, I took my phone out, completely ignoring the harmful message I had received a few hours ago and, luckily, had chosen to lock away safely in the back of my mind as a faded memory…for now. I quickly left a message to my mum, letting her know where I was going and the exact reason. Not waiting for her answer any time soon, I closed it and my body released all of its relief in one breath

“Now I did” and with a small genuine smile, I put the phone back to my pocket

“Perfect” he let his arm wander and finally settled around my shoulders, half hugging me. I could already feel the warmth radiating from his body but also the coldness of his rings as he pulled me closer to him. Jack had parked his car a little far away from school and not many people where there or even those who were there, looking at us didn't say anything

Getting closer, he opened the door for me. I offered him a small smile and then got inside, waiting. It wasn't long before trees and big houses were forming in our windows, with our last destination being a normal house, well maintained and light painted. Different kinds of flowers were scattered around the garden, each of them decorating the already beautiful picture. It was like it came out of a fairytale

“Do you like it?”

My eyes wandered back to him and with an eager nod, I showed him how happy I was right now. With a small smile he took off the car seat belt and got outside. He came around and opened the door again, letting me be the next exiting

“Welcome and officially to my house” he said excitedly and opened his hands, gesturing towards it, like he was ready to open a show. Giggles filled the air as both of us started walking towards the door

“Oh! And just so you know…you're probably going… to meet my parents”

“Wait…what? Am I going to meet what?”

At first he didn't look at me, as he was struggling with his keys and was scared of my panicked voice but eventually after my few complaints he stared back

“Arthur, please don't be like this. Just take a few breaths”

Yeah take deep breaths, like you wouldn't be anxious if you were ready to meet my parents
