"Is this a good time to pat your shoulder?" Caiden asked.
After going out of the dining hall, we went to the greenhouse near the garden that my brother and I had gone earlier.
"What for?" I asked, puzzled.
"Patting girls on the back or shoulder and telling them everything is going to be fine. Lots of times when girls cry, they don't want you to fix the problem, they just want to be consoled."
"I'm not crying!" I said. He really annoys me. This is our first meeting and yet he is trying to be funny.
"Alright. Calm down. I'm just being playful to raise our moods." He sighed contentedly. "How are you feeling, Irelia?"
"I feel like thanking you for calling me outside here mostly." I sincerely said.
"No problem. I know you're bored."
"How did you know?" I asked, puzzled.
"Cause I feel the same.." He chuckled. I looked at him. He's quite harmless. And I have no choice but to talked to someone.
"Can you tell me about yourself?" I questioned him while he was busy looking at roses. He looked at me. "Are you curious?" He asked.
"I was the first to ask. So, answer it first." I said with cold eyes. He suddenly started laughing. I glared at him.
"Just kidding! Okay, I'll tell you. You're really mean.." He cleared his throat and sighed before answering my question.
"I'm Prince Caiden Emerson Blithe Garret of Chastain D'Aramitz . Like my mother told you before."
"What a long name. I'll call you with first name basis, then? Don't you have any sports that you're excellent in?"
"Of course, I have."
"Then what is it?"
"Horseback riding, polo matches, archery and sports that you can name. I know them all. I was trained for all of them." Caiden said with a matter-of-fact tone.
"You're good in archery, too. Let's try archery sometimes.."
"Sure.." He diverted his attention on the roses again. While I looked around for a bench to sit down to.
I started walking to the bench I saw. I was about to sit when I saw Caiden going to where I am. Holding a rose?
"For you." Giving me the red with pink stripes cross-breed rose. I reached for the rose that he's giving me and accepted it. Purely on manners. That's how royals do.
"Thank you."
"I told you anything you want. Can you tell me about yourself now? Your hobbies?"
"I'm Irelia Lizbeth Zahara Elisha of Aethelstan. I'm the long-lost princess.. My hobbies are reading books, archery and I was thought all kinds of self-defense when I was just a kid."
"Long lost princess? Why?" He asked, shocked.
"All my life, I believed that my brother is my only family but one day I woke up that it's all a lie. One day my brother said that he and I are separated from our parents when we were just a kid that he kept it a secret for the sake of my safety. I didn't believed it at first and I didn't talk to my brother for two weeks for rejecting the thought of it. I got that certain feeling that I really thought that they passed away but they did not. They're safe. When I met my parents, I don't know what to react. I just stood in the corner, dumbfounded. It really shocked me. I came back here after the conciliation we did. So here I am. In the boring palace." I tried to joke about it. But I felt something in my eyes. Oh no! I can't possibly cry in front of an acquaintance. This is a disgrace. My mom said that if you let people saw your weakness, it would become your downfall.
